Supplement-Fine Arts Trips/ISAS

UP Fine Arts has great experienceson their spring trips.

Fine Arts Trip/ISAS

Fun in the Sun Meredith O’Neill and Lana Dimassi en-joyed the opportunity to go to some workshops, watch other schools perform, and sit outside during ISAS.

Many Many Shows! The choir performed their repertoire in every country they visited in Europe. While it was very taxing and rehearsals were long, the excitement of being in a foreign country was worth it.

Hungarian High School While in Hungary, the groups performed at a local high school. Most of the Hungarian students got a chance to practice their English.

Junior Senior Friends Klayton Koenig was the only junior to make Video Tech this year and get to go to ISAS. But Haley Morris showed him she loved him anyway.

Tea Time Mrs. Love-land’s pottery students meet with a judge at the ISAS festival. The students were evaluated against some of the best schools and came out on the top.

Jackets go where? Alexis Eliff and Haley Morris enjoy the weather at the ISAS festival at Fort Worth Country Day in March. It was a great day to spend enjoying the arts and the weather.

History in Action In Eisenstadt, the fine arts group performed in the famed Esterhazy palace. The Haydn mass that the choir performed was written for the room they sang in.

Supplement--PowderPuff Week

Powder Puff Week

International High five Juniors Elizabeth Gaddis and Armin Almassi high five to show their excitement for powder puff. International day was one of the more popular dress up days of the students.

American Pride Caitlyn Clark poses with a leg up on freshman Drew Dice. The students wanted to show that America is a superior country to every other country in the world.

Handycapable Connor Campo, Nick Garrett, and Griffin McKee pose together while repping their teams. Even though juniors and seniors are rivals for the game, these students still show each other some love.

English Class Fun Hannah Voncannon, Mrs. Creekmore, Becca Doucet, Julie Baker, and Nate Grandjean get together on International Day. Mrs. Creekmore is known for her great love on English love and culture, shown by her outfit.

Represent your country Jillian Godfrey and Blake Fisher pose to take a picture while surrounded by flags. International day is a very loved part of Powder Puff week.

Why is that in your closet? Grace Young, Sarah Elliot, Kinsey Brown, Gillian Grace, and Cameron Dasher show everyone what was in the BACK of their closet. Every body loved dressing up for the “Why is this in my closet?” dress up day.

Close as a Family Gentry Barton, Forrest Harrell, and Mrs. Karen Diven pose to take a picture. Mrs. Diven is well known for how much she cares about each of her students.

Supplement--Powder Puff Game

Legacy in Action Caitlin Clark throws a pass to one of her teammates. She lives up to her name by scoring the first touchdown for the juniors and making some key passes throughout the game.

‘Stangs Forever Haley Morris and Brooke Jenkins look tired and happy after the game. These seniors are excited for college as they start the next chapter of their lives.

Mustang Spirit Sarah Oldfield, Macy Kelleher, and Kayla Driscoll pause to smile during the game as the seniors continue on to victory. The seniors trained very hard for this game and had one of the largest teams in HC history.

Victory at Last Everyone stormed the field after the final quarter ended. Seniors won their second Powderpuff Football game in a row, making them the first class to achieve this goal.

Camaraderie The entire senior team gears up with their coaches before the game. They had a lot to live up to since they won against the last years’ seniors (their junior year).

Most Valuable Player Kristin Milton waves to the camera as she walks onto the field before the game. Her quick running patterns scored many touchdowns for the seniors.

Preparation Anxiously awaiting the game, the juniors put on their flags. They hade trained hard in their practice sessions to try to beat the seniors.

Supplement--International Day

Selfie Stick Senior Jacob Ehrenstrom takes the selfie stick around all day surprising people with smiles. Jacob was a really good distance runner on the track team.

Selfie Stick Senior Alexis Eliff and friends are hanging out in the student center after enjoying all of the interest-ing international foods. Caroline Mitchell held up a peace sign, and seemed to have loved the food.

Mandarin Grace Chang oversaw her class preform a Chinese culture dance. They worked hard in and out of the class room to perfect their routine to perform for the whole student body.

International SoUP Houston Christian all around the world.

International DayAll Kinds of China The students of the Mandarin class all got together and dressed according to the different cultures of China. Each of the students shared a phrase in Mandarin.

BHM Black History is something we celebrate every year at Houston Christian during the International festival. Young black students give a presentation about the importance of Black history in America.

Foreign Couples Houston christian is home to many foreign couples. Seniors Gabe Zuli and Karina Arnold represent foreign couples well at all of the international events.

Supplement-Red Shirt Ceremony

Red Shirts

Getting Advice These seniors, Graham Doll, Emily Detiveaux, Jeremy Nguyen, and Elizabeth DalBello spoke at the Red Shirt Ceremony. They gave amazing advice to the students that they will carry into the next school year.

Seniors pass on the tradition of the red shirt.

Red Shirt A tradition HCHS students have held close to their hearts is the giving of a red shirt to a junior. “It’s so exicting to see these people you love finally getting their red shirt and growing into their roles on campus,“ said Thomas Berry.

Supplement--Spring Events

Presenting with Confidence Victoria Baltazar did a great job at DSP’s Senior Night, giving a presentation that was intriguing, interesting, and memorable. DSP teaches students great presentation skills. Her topic was Biotechnology and Its Effects on Sports Competition and the Quality of Life.

Sibling Support! Collin McGrath gave a presentation at the DSP Senior Night and his sister, sophomore, Lauren McGrath came to support her older brother as he gave his speech to other DSP students.

Thoughtful Presentations Senior, Chesli Lobue, gave a chilling presentation this year at the DSP Senior Night. Chesli’s presentation kept students and visitors on the edge of their seats. Modern Genetic Engineering and Future Social Implication as Seen in In Literature and Film was Chesli’s topic.

Beautiful Dances This year at the Spring Dance Concert, the Silver Spurs put on an outstanding performance. The Silver Spurs have performed at every Pep Rally and do a beautiful job keeping the students entertained.

UP Locks of Love, DSP, and the Spring 2015 Dance Concert

Pitch Perfect? This year at the 2015 Spring Dance Concert, freshman, Zion Ayodele, participated in the acapella performance put on by the drumline. It was an entertaining and amazing performance to watch.

A Helping Hand Junior, Isabella Jeaggi sat beside Mrs.Joachim’s daughter and cut her hair as well. Isabella decided to cut her hair, being a great role model, and encouraging those younger than her to donate their hair!

Locks of Love! This year’s Lock of Love assembly had a good amount of young ladies come to donate their hair. The hair that is donated goes through a long process, to create real hair wigs for people who are in need of hair.

Dress Up Big City and Bright Lights captured Prom for 2015.

Boy Time Pete Chronis, Harrison Barton, Thomas Berry and Travis Morland all gather for a sweet picture. “This is our last dance together before college; we have to make the most of it, roll tide,“ said Morland.

Bow Down Julie Baker, Kai Mosvold and Prom Queen Maddy Payne enjoyed their last prom. “Tonight is amaz-ing, I can not believe that I was voted prom queen by my friends,“ said Maddy Payne.

Gal Pals AG Barton, Renee Alphonso and Catherine Coolidge all look lovely for prom. “We have been to 4 homecomings, 2 cotillions and 2 proms, and each dance has been better than the last,“ said Renee.

281 To My City Reed Fredricks, Micheal Raitt and Matt Metoyer look dashing as they threw up the H at prom. Prom was super cool accord-ing to Micheal Raitt. “These are my boys, and they are gonna have the best senior year and baseball season in 2016. I wish them the best of luck. Glad we could rock out at prom together,“ said Reed Fredricks.

Couples CornerClaire Karsten and her date Shane Baz had a blast at prom, “Prom was so rad,“ said Baz. Caroline Angell and Harrison Barton look great before prom. Gen-try Barton and her date had a delightful time as well. “Prom was so much fun and my date was the most amazing guy,“ said Gentry Barton.

UP Senior chapel gets everyone ready for that big day.

Do you know your ABCs? Brooke Jenkins, Lauren Kattapong, and Christian Hightower shared some of their last moments together prior to the awards ceremony.

All Smiles Kendall Riggsby posed before the awards ceremony began. Kendall won several awards, enjoyed her time at Houston Christian, and was a key aspect on the morning announcements.

Almost time A group of senior girls wait in the hallway before they walk across the stage. The seniors persevered and overall had an amazing year, finishing strong and remaining as a family.

Best of Friends Drew Kibbe and Reed Fredricks exchange a handshake before taking the stage. All senior baby photos were shown as they strutted across the stage one last time.

Senior Awards Rebecca Glenister won over ten awards. Rebecca was extremely devoted to the positive change at Houston Christian. Mrs. Metoyer awarded her a certificate for outstanding achievement.

Leading the Way Kayla Driscoll, Bailey Fritcher, and Andrew Faulk were a few of the seniors to complete the Passport to Lead program. Only about twenty-percent of the graduating class completes this program.

AirForce bound Jacob Ehrenstrom was admitted into the AirForce Academy in Colorado. Jacob is one out of 1,500 students selected to be in the AirForce, and was present-ed his appointment by representative Mike Tenney.

Top Students Salutatorian, Chesli Lobue, and Valedic-torian, Meg Goode, accepted their awards. Chesli Lobue and Meg Goode worked extremely hard to get their offices and gpa.
