HCDA Monthly Meeting Minutes for March 20, 2014 The meeting was at sunnvslde: in attendance were: Sandi Zorzi, Tod Carper, Roy Crawford, Sarah and John Little, Dan Warther, Russ Volkert, John Miceli, Mickey Mamarella, Gabriel Riggle, Bill Fritz, Diane Lautenschleger, R.V.A., John R.Ritenour, Brian Ice, Mary Jo Monte-Kaser, Dave Schaffe, Howard Dugger, and Kathy Thomas. President, Howard called the meeting to order, Sandi opened with prayer. Minutes were approved as presented. Roy Crawford gave the treasures report with a total net worth of $7,096.29. Treasurers report approved and put on file. Tod Carper gave the membership report with 36 paid members, with plans to send out reminders within the next few weeks. There was a discussion on insurance concerning the hot dog cart and the cost -. -- -- - -- ------- -- - ------ ---- --- - -- -----------, --_ _-- -_ .• _--- motion to get coverage on the cart, with a second from Tod with the cost not to Mary Jo reported on the boat ramp project which was approved by the city at the recent council meeting. The boat ramp is an important step in the development of the Rivarfront Park, a longtime goal of HCDA. She had literature handouts available and also gave an update on the canoe & Kayak race. Old business: Regarding the bike helmets and bike racks, it may be the end of April before we know if HCDA's request will be honored. Roy suggested and offered to email monthly meetings and update Information to members. Kathy made a motion to do so, second by Sandi. Motion carried. Russ suggested HCDA have a banner made for display at our events, and also encouraged we help "make" a walking and bike path in and throughout the city.

Minutes for March 20, 2014

President, Howard called the meeting to order, Sandi opened with prayer.

Howard advised the Exchange Club offered HCDA a free table at the Canal DaysFestival held Memorial Day weekend.

Dan had carved HCDA& Dover ornaments available for everyone.

Gabriel, Healthy Tusc Advocate, gave a report and encouraged participation inthe WALK & ROLLthe City of Dover on April 29 at the Dover Public Library, andconcluding with Bike to Work Week May iz" - 16th.

Diane advised a grant is available for tourism if and when we are interested andready to pursue it.

Roy made a motion to adjourn, second by Tod.

Chris Hart will be speaking at the April 17 meeting. The speaker for May 15meeting will be Dan Rice.
