The Battery Indicator (4) will turn on to indicate charging in progress. The Battery Indicator will turn off once the unit is fully charged. The HD Bluetooth Transmitter can be operated even when it is being charged. When it is not connected to a USB power source, it will operate with the built-in battery. The Battery Indicator (4) will blink in red when the battery level is low, indicating that recharging is needed. 1. Remove the protective caps from the Optical TOSLINK Audio Cable included in the package. The custom-shaped TOSLINK connector cable is designed to fit into only one position. Do not exert unnecessary force when inserting the CHARGING SETTING UP YOUR HD BLUETOOTH TRANSMITTER cable. Do not attempt to bend or fold the TOSLINK cable into an angle, as this may permanently damage it. 2. Connect the TOSLINK cable (12a) (12b) between the optical output of your audio / video system and the optical input (7) of the HD Bluetooth Transmitter. 3. The HD Transmitter accepts only digital audio input in uncompressed stereo PCM format. The default digital audio output of most TVs are PCM. However, in some cases, you may have to change the digital audio output setting of your TV, DVR, or set-top box to PCM format. 4. For some TVs, you may need to turn on the Internal Mute (the built-in TV speakers) to send audio to the digital and/or analog RCA audio output jacks on the side panel. 5. Some TVs do not send audio to the digital audio jack in certain circumstances, e.g. if the input source is HDMI, or if the video content is not in digital format. In such cases, use the analog RCA audio connection on the TV side panel. 6. For PS3 game consoles, select only [Linear PCM 2 Ch. 44.1kHz] and [Linear PCM 2 Ch. 48kHz] (deselect all others) output format in the PS3 audio settings. If you connect the Transmitter directly to the optical output of the PS3, set the Audio Multi-Output to ON. For more information, check out http://manuals.playstation.net/document/en/ps3/current/settings/audiooutput.html 7. If the video source is Comcast DVR, change the Audio Device Setting of the DVR from Surround to Stereo. NOTE: If both the 3.5mm Audio Input (6) & the Digital TOSLINK Optical Audio Input (7) are connected, only the 3.5mm Audio Input will be played. 1. Connect one end of the audio cable (10a) or (11a) to the 3.5mm Audio Input (6) of the HD Bluetooth Transmitter. 2. Connect the other end of the audio cable (10b) or (11b) to the audio output of your audio / video system. Consult your audio / video system user manual for more information on how to accomplish this. TIPS : If your audio / video system features a RCA audio output port, use the bundled RCA cable for better user experience. Some TV Speakers will be muted automatically when the headphone jack is in use. The volume of the headphone jack can be adjusted using the TV or the receiver, and this will affect the volume of the HD Bluetooth Transmitter. SETTING UP YOUR HD BLUETOOTH TRANSMITTER 1. Power on your Bluetooth audio receiving device and set it to pairing mode. 2. On the first use, once powered on, the HD Bluetooth Transmitter will be in pairing mode. (2)& (4) LED lights will alternate blink rapidly in turn once the unit is powered. 3. The HD Bluetooth Transmitter will automatically search for, and connect to, the closest Bluetooth audio receiving device in pairing mode. 4. If the pairing is successful and a connection is made, (2) will blink in blue every 5 seconds. The HD Bluetooth Transmitter will remain in pairing mode for 120 seconds, or until successfully paired. After 120 seconds, you can press the MFK button to set the HD Bluetooth Transmitter to pairing mode again. TO PAIR WITH A 2 nd BLUETOOTH DEVICE Before the HD Bluetooth Transmitter can be set to enable dual streaming, it needs to be paired with the 2 nd Bluetooth audio device first. After the HD Bluetooth Transmitter has been paired with the 1 st device, switch off the Transmitter first. The HD Bluetooth Transmitter will save up to 2 device pairing records, and only those 2 previously paired devices will be automatically re-connected when the Transmitter is powered on. 5. When a third device is paired, the first device pairing record will be removed. The internal antenna of the HD Bluetooth Transmitter has been fine-tuned to provide a wide operating range. When the product is properly placed with an uninterrupted line of sight and there is no radio interference, it can typically achieve transmission distances ranging from 10-20m. Do not surround the HD Bluetooth Transmitter with metallic objects or put it behind any electronic appliances. Doing so will severely reduce the transmission performance.
