Online Environment
StudyNet is the bespoke Managed Learning Environment
developed at UH and provides integrated services including access
to online resources. We use OpenAthens and access is devolved
through one-click to the Online Library (no separate usernames and
passwords). Voyager library catalogue records for journals are
imported into StudyNet Online Library for discovery via a Quick Link
called Journals, incorporating electronic resources.
Module Online Library
Consortium Students
All consortium students within the FE colleges have full access to the universities resources including:
•24/7 access to the LRCs
•Studynet and all online resources
•Full borrowing rights via Voyager
FE Students
The consortium only covers those students studying a Foundation degree or higher through the University of Hertfordshire (UH).
Other FE students are welcome to use the IT open access suites at the university via visitor hours, but need to use the local library resources that each college has purchased, rather than those provided via UH.

FELTAG Outcomes
The key recommendation...
Mandated, from 2015/16 that a minimum of 10% of every publicly-funded programme should be wholly online.
Then by 2017/18 “incentives offered” to get to 50% delivered wholly online, unless a good case study is made for why this is not appropriate to a particular programme.
Does this mean that Libraries / LRCs in FE will become
that much more embeddedwithin the curriculum?
