A A A fefefewww things have changed since you graduated. Most recently, we’ve seseseenenen ttthhe revitalization of our middle school buildings, Ka öleiokü and KeKeKelilili`i`immmaika i, with state-of-the art facilities. We’ve also seen former trtrtrususustetetee Myron Pinky Thompson’s dream fulfilled with the openingofofof KaKaK `i`iiwakïloumoku, our Hawaiian Cultural Center. For someKüKüKünununuiäiäiäkea Stadium and Koai`a, the athletic/P.E. complex will be new, bububuttt thththee e most awaited facility on campus is undoubtedly Hale Ho okü Ka a, our 500-car parkinggstststruruructctuurure. These capital improvements reflect the on-going commitment of our trustees to the edede ucu atattioioion of “gogogoododod aand industrious” men and women at Kapälama.

Smith, KS’ senior land manager, will guide you through the history of Kamehameha Schools’

legacy lands with stops in Punalu`u and North Shore. Talk Story with farmers, visit the Punalu`u

Ahupua`a Farms Lots, enjoy a fresh lunch at Kahuku Farms and learn about the prestigious

North Shore Plan. * Limited to 55 participants.

Alumni on the `Äina - Explore Urban Island Culture in Our Kaka`akoWalk the streets of our Kaka`ako with Christian O’Connor, the asset manager overseeing nine

blocks of redevelopment on Auahi, Keawe and Coral streets. Meet with visionary business

owners, innovative restaurateurs and unconventional non-profit masterminds who are building

this community from the ground up. Finish the tour with a healthy, locally-sourced bento from

resident Taste chef, Mark Noguchi. Taste is the “permanent pop-up restaurant” dedicated to a

community culinary experience. * Limited to 30 participants.

Celebrate! Let’s Dance to the Music! - Kekühaupi`o GymWe invite you for an evening filled with dance songs that have been favorites throughout the

decades. From the ‘40s Boogie Woogie Bugle Boys, to the ‘80s disco, to Gangnam Style -

everyone is encouraged to get up and dance! Heavy püpü will be served.

Talent Night - Dinner / Talent Night Show - Under Konia Field TentThe evening begins with a local flavored meal accompanied by a side order of great musical

prepared as it can get chilly at night. This event sells out as tickets are limited. Hosted by KS

This encompasses how the class of 1984 feels for each other, our school, and about the

opportunity to create this year’s lü`au experience for the celebrating classes.u

For those of us fortunate enough to be beneficiaries and products of “Pauahi’s Love,”

Kamehameha will always be precious to us. Please join us as we return to our “home” as

alumni to share in mea`ai, mele, dance, and laughs with one another. Hosted by KS ’84.

BoardingFor those who plan to board, please remember that the dorms are our KS students’ home away from home.

All restrooms and shower facilities are shared. All beds are twin size.

Boarding is for adults 21 years of age or older. NO CHILDREN OR PETS ARE ALLOWED. Mini breakfasts begin Wednesday morning, June 5th through Saturday, June 8th.

Room AssignmentsAll room assignments will be made by Parents and Alumni Relations and the respective class representative(s).

Re-assignment or switching of rooms by individual boarders will not be allowed.

Single boarders will be paired, as much as possible, with a classmate of the same gender from the same graduating year.

The dorms are co-ed; shared room assignments will be designated to same gender pairs or designated couples only. The

majority of rooms are single occupancy and are furnished with single beds only.

Booking Your Room - $30.00 per night, per personOvernight stays must be for a minimum of two (2) consecutive nights.

For example, you may stay Thursday, Friday and Saturday but not Thursday and Saturday only; minimum two (2) consecutive

nights stay. Boarders’ guests (limited to one per celebrating alumni) will be assessed a $5.00 Alumni Week processing fee.

What to BringBoarders will be staying in the student dormitories. They will need to

provide their own twin sheets, pillows, pillowcases, blankets, towels

and clothes hangers. Washers, dryers and irons are available in

the dorms.

Boarder ParkingA Boarder Vehicle Permit must be completed upon check-in and

placed on the dashboard at all times while on campus. Please be

mindful of where you park as not to inconvenience others.

Boarder RulesBoarders must be 21 years of age or older.

No children or pets are allowed. No amplified music in dorms.

A $45 fee will be assessed for lost keys.

Boarding registration and events are limited to one celebrating

alumni plus one guest only.

Parents and Alumni Relations may require you to obtain and

present medical clearance to attend and/or participate in

scheduled activities. At their sole discretion, PAR may limit your

attendance and/or participation in scheduled activities if you fail

to present medical clearance when requested. The WAIVER

AND RELEASE form must be signed at check-in if you are

boarding at any time during Alumni Week.

Handicap AccessHandicap access is limited. Please indicate special needs request

on the registration form. We will do our best to accommodate your

request, but please remember that we do not have “hotel”

accommodations in the dorms.

Shuttle BusesShuttle buses will be available to transport guests from the dorms

to scheduled campus events and to bus pick-ups for off-campus

events. Schedules will be included in the boarder packets and

Alumni Week program.
