A Heads Up New Year, New York Hello 2014! In addition to presenting you with a new look for your Headquarters News, courtesy of RSES Marketing Assistant Emily Fairall (see pg. 2 for more information), a lot more initiatives are underway for the first month of the new year. RSES Journal will be presenting the annual 2013 Readers’ Choice Awards during the 2014 AHR Expo. Like previous years, companies receiving these awards received the highest number of inquiries in a year from you, our read- ers! A list of the 2013 winners and their winning products will be published in the March 2014 issue of RSES Journal. A plethora of educational sessions will be available to all of those attending the show, including one from RSES Director, Training and Testing, Pat Murphy, CMS. Murphy’s session takes place Tuesday, Jan. 21 from 2–3 p.m., in room 1E02. The session, titled “Flammable Refrigerants—What You Need to Know,” will focus on HC refrigerants and how their operation capabilities can save energy. Attendees will also learn about their limitations and advantages, as well as the proper techniques for handling systems with these refrigerants. Be sure to check out the complete list of educational sessions at www.ahrexpo.com. RSES and RSES Journal will also be posting images from the showroom floor to our social media pages. The conversation will begin on Jan 21. Follow us @RSESHQ on Twitter and become a part of the #RSESAHR14 discussion. “Like” the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society on Facebook for Expo updates and pictures as well. Similar to our interactions during the 76 th Annual RSES Conference in Pittsburgh, Pa., we are inviting AHR attendees to share their Expo experiences on our social media sites. Finally, RSES Journal will be giving away a free one-year subscription of the magazine to those who drop by the RSES booth and click the QR code avail- able there. This offer is for those who are presently not an RSES Member or RSES Journal subscriber (other restrictions apply). We want to get into the hands of those who are not familiar with all the great technical information and training we provide, and felt this is a great way to do just that. If you happen to be in the New York City area during the 2014 AHR Expo, be sure to drop by Booth No. 1844! We would love to see you there! We hope the new format al-lows you to easily see the latest news, offerings and updates from RSES Head-quarters staff.
