There was a disco, a buffet, karaoke, laughter and generally Christmas Cheer. and Staff Staff members, volunteers and Trustees enjoyed a Christmas meal at the Diglis which was followed by a Disco – unfortunately a few people had to leave early because it was snowing! Don’t forget it’s a leap year! Girls! Ask your loved one to marry you! Client’sThe Headway clients, relatives, carers, staff andvolunteers all enjoyed the Christmas party at theVine! There was a disco, a buffet, karaoke, laughterand generally Christmas Cheer.

Walk to Success!Marion Stokes and her son achieved a‘milestone’ as they walked just over 11miles to raise money for HeadwayWorcester. Together they managed to raiseover £250. Thank you and well done!

News From Malvern OutreachHappy New Year to everyone!

Everyone is now able to relax after a verybusy Christmas. The Christmas party at TheVine was a great night and everyone whowent had a brilliant evening........ Moreplease!!

The Team would like to wish EvetteColeman all the best in her new secondmentto Headway North. As a result of this, ScottMitchell has been seconded to ServiceLeader, again we wish him luck. We arehappy to welcome Dawn Brooks to theMalvern Outreach Team. Dawn has workedfor Headway for many years and has joinedus from Worcester Outreach. Wehope you settle in well!

Bug Boxes that were made forKaren P in Barry's Woodworkworkshop by Steve Synnockand Jeff Robinson – aren’t theyamazing! Karen is obviouslyvery pleased with them andwould like to pass on hersincere thanks to Jeff andSteve for kindly completingthem.

The staff had a lovely Christmas party at theDiglis, All had a well deserved boogie, mealand a few sherbets. Clients enjoyedthemselves greatly at the Vine. WorcesterOutreach Worker Damien did a fantastic jobas mc!!! A record number of clients turnedup to dance the night away.

Lyn and the team would like to welcomeKerry Tudge and Jan Hughes to theoutreach team. Kaz organised a Christmasparty at Dickinson Court for the clients andthey all had a ball. They also raised £52towards some new furnishings for theconservatory. Damo dj'ed and a beautifulbuffet was provided!Lyn and the gang wish all Headway clientsa HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!

News from EveshamOutreachEveryone had a great Christmas, howeverthe staff are now on a diet, which has notproven very successfully so far....Apart from Christmas it has been quiet overin Evesham Evette and the team

News from The Charity ShopWe need willing and able volunteers to comeand support client volunteers in the charityshop as part of their volunteer placements –for more information contact Mo or We now have lots of Client volunteers at theShop and it is working out very successfully!

News from Day OpsWorcester University Volunteer DeborahSouth organised a fundraising ‘Cake Bake’at the Student’s Union and raised a massive£110 for the Day Opportunities – thank youDeborah and all the other students who gotinvolved or bought the yummy cakes!

We had a lovely but hectic Christmas week– Thank you Pat and all the volunteers whohelped make it a very special week foreveryone!.

Santa’ and David’s mate Tom alsopopped in to wish everyone a happyChristmas. Stuart was out and aboutwith all his friends for various mealsand bowling nights and Jean alsoenjoyed a visit from her daughter aswell as dining out several times.Emma, Jean, Stuart and Alf all wentto the Disco at the Vine and had afantastic time, Emma was a” DiscoDiva” on the dance floor. Both Jean and Stuart enjoyedhelping out at the Charity Shopleading up to Christmas and are nowlooking forward to helping out everyweek, Jean has said she could gothere everyday as it is so much fun.We would like to take thisopportunity to say thank you to Patand her helpers for cooking andserving such a wonderful Christmasdinner and for making Christmas a

special time at the DayOpportunities. A week beforeChristmas we said goodbye to Alf ashe was offered a flat and we arepleased to say the move wentsmoothly and Alf is now settled in hisnew home. He will still be going tothe day ops so you will still be seeinghim. We did have one little mishapleading up to Christmas, a flood inthe kitchen from the cold water tapunder the sink, the tenants were allgetting ready to practice theirswimming skills but after a couple ofattempts it was finally fixed and thesnorkels and wet suits were putaway! A final note Jean is veryhappy to announce the arrival of herfirst grandchild Jean has spent timewith grandson Charlie and hisparents and says he is absolutelyperfect, congratulations Jean!

News from Brickfields Bungalow

December was quite a busy month at the Bungalowbeginning with a visit to the Swan Theatre to watchthe panto. Alf, Jean and Emma really enjoyed theafternoon and rounded the visit off with a takeaway. Support staff were kept really busy taking everyone intotown on shopping trips to buy all their Christmas gifts.All the tenants and staff met at the Barn Owl along withDavid Milner and his carer after enjoying a 3 courseChristmas lunch everyone received presents from ‘Secret
