Healing With the Masters The Daily Work Teleseminar Series

Gregg Braden

Gregg: All right. There are a lot of people on that line.

Jennifer: Yes. We’ve got probably about 1500 folks on tonight.

Gregg: Oh, that's great. I want to begin just by saying hello to everyone and welcome to everyone. You know, these seminars, they go by so quickly. All of a sudden our time is gone and we've got to finish. So, before it even begins, Jennifer, I'd like to begin just by saying thank you to you for all that you've done to put this together. And it goes way beyond just you and I connecting here. There's all the technology behind the scenes, all of the ways that you're letting people know. They take a lot of your personal time, your dedication and your vision and it all began with an idea. So I'm acknowledging you for that and I'm saying thank you, thank you. I know everybody on this line loves you. I'm loving you right now as well and I'm just really excited about the program tonight. So, ladies and gentlemen, please help me give a warm welcome to Jennifer.

Jennifer: Wow! That is the coolest introduction I've ever had on my own show. Cool. Thanks, Gregg. What fun. Well, let me do yours then, shall we? Can I trade and introduce you?

Gregg: Oh, sure. Everything is unscripted. I just wanted to get that in before our evening is past.

Jennifer: That was really sweet. Thank you so much. In fact, that's the second time in two days I've been introduced in my own show. So that's really a nice trend.

Gregg: Well, the universe’s telling you something here.

Jennifer: That's awesome. Thank you so much.

Gregg: You're very welcome.

Jennifer: So tonight we have with us the wonderful—what I said in my email to everyone was the authentic, the generous, the loving and incredibly smart Gregg Braden. Gregg says that there is a code that’s within us that unifies every living being on the planet. And that this is allowing us to create unity for all of us. So we're going to talk about this tonight.

So from his groundbreaking books, Awakening to Zero, Walking Between the Worlds, The Isaiah Effect, to his pioneer work in The God Code, The Divine

Matrix and his new book, Fractal Time, Gregg offers meaningful solutions to the unique challenges of our time. Venturing beyond the traditional boundaries of science and spirituality, revealing the words of ancient and timeless messages encoded in all of us.

Gregg is also a well-known speaker and lecturer, prolific author and just a downright good human being. Thanks for joining us on Healing with the Masters once again.

Gregg: Wow! What a beautiful introduction. I tell you it's been a tough couple of weeks and it was good for me to hear that tonight. So I want to thank you and I'll receive it gracefully. I've got a big smile on my face that’s warmed my zero degree, high desert home here. So in the last couple of programs, we've talked a lot about 2012 and fractal time and we can certainly tie into that tonight. And I know for some of our listeners who’ve never been with us, they’d like to hear more about that. And for others, they have heard that and a lot of that material. There are other bodies of work that tie into this, that empower us. And I know that you had spoken with me about possibly covering some of that other material.

Jennifer: Yes. I really would. And I know that some of the other material was leading up to fractal time. I mean I was looking at some of your pieces and your work and your interviews before and they all had a tone within them that talked a little bit about 2012 and fractal time and the phases of what we're going through. But, yes, I definitely would like to talk about some of your other material.

Gregg: We can do that. I've done some interviews earlier today and someone asked me earlier first how I made what they perceive as a quantum leap from the world of science and engineering into the things we're talking about tonight. And secondly, why all the books are so different. They said why don't you go zero in one topic and explore that topic? And I said, well, I did. And so, here’s the true line. I was trained as a scientist and from my training I began to see things happening in my life personally, in my world. And as I journeyed into some of the most isolated and remote and pristine places remaining on the planet today, to visit indigenous people who have preserved the wisdom that we have lost in large part in our world today, as I did those things, I began to see ways of being and inner experiences, human experiences that connect us with our world in a way that science never prepared me for and never taught me about. And the more I understood about this inner way of being, what I also understood is that almost universally, the wisdom traditions of our past, our indigenous and spiritual traditions, Jennifer, they’re all pointing right now to our time and their future, to our time in the history of this planet. And they're saying this is the time, when you, people of our future, when you will need these inner traditions, these inner experiences, to help you deal with the changes in your outer world. So they knew that these changes were coming. And we can talk a little bit about what that means tonight. Our own science is now only catching up with what our

ancestors knew. And that is the through line for all the work, all the books I've done. They explore different elements of our existence, helping us to come to terms with our truest nature and a better understanding of who we are, how we relate to ourselves, one another, the world around us and to whatever we perceive the greater power to be.

So, in that way, all the books dovetailed. They all worked together really well.

Jennifer: Right.

Gregg: So then the person on the other end of the line said, "Oh.”

Jennifer: Oops, that’s the end of my interview.

Gregg: And it was a lot of fun.

Jennifer: So the theme is definitely throughout all of your books is continually focused on: we need to be better, kinder to ourselves and kinder to each other. We need to be working together, not individually, not as separated beings. And together, we need to be honoring the earth. I mean, this is a consistent theme in everything that you're doing. But, the challenge sometimes is that we live isolated lives. We live in a culture that has us in little boxes that held us away from each other. We live on a planet that's changing and shifting. How do we as this little speck, almost a piece of dust in this six billion populated world and the universe that we live in—how do we make the kind of changes we need to within this environment?

Gregg: Well, I think this is where the uniqueness of our time in history comes in, Jennifer. I think the changes of our world and I have yet to meet anyone who can deny that the world is changing. There's a lot of controversy about why and what it means. What we know that we're in a very different world now than we we're even a couple of years ago.

Jennifer: Yes.

Gregg: We know that we're undergoing the greatest global challenges ever to face 5,000 years of recorded human history. And one of the things I found in our individual audiences all over the world, I've just come back from Europe just a couple of months ago, and I was in South America earlier and we were in Australia last year and in Japan. Everywhere I go, I asked audiences this question: I say, "How many of you are experiencing, right now, in your personal lives, some of the greatest challenges that you have ever known personally, whether it's you or you’re close to a friend or family member who's going through great emotional challenges—health challenges, relationship challenges, challenges of economics and finance. And almost every audience, everyone raises their hand, including the guy on the stage, because we're all in this together.

Jennifer: Right.

Gregg: So here’s where it gets really interesting and this is precisely the value of looking into the traditions of our past because they're old yet they are not obsolete. Our ancestors knew that this time was coming because it always does. Every 5,125 years, the orientation of our planet in space changes the ways things happen in our world. And what is does is, it appears that it pushes all of the systems that we have put into place, it pushes everything to the limits. It stresses, it taxes the systems. And the things that are sustainable and based on universal principles seem to work really well. And they'll hold up through this change. And the things that don't will collapse and fall apart before our very eyes, whether it's our personal truth, in terms of who we spend our lives with in our relationships or where it is that we go to work everyday and how we contribute to the world and what it is we do for a living or whether it's collectively on this planet. How we treat other nations as we mine their resources and as we take from their land the things that help our society become a better society. What's sustainable and what's not? And the things that aren’t collapse. That is where we find that we're in our personal extremes.

So what the experts are telling us now is that we're living in a time of global extremes that are pushing the people of the world into their personal extremes. So the things that we're experiencing in our lives are directly linked to the great changes on the planet. We cannot separate them. This is the message of our ancestors that was so clear. They said in the language of their tongue—non-scientific language—they reminded us of our inner ability, our connectiveness. They said you're not separate from your world and the world that's changing, that's part of you. And they reminded us that we all have this inner ability to find a focus, to find a center. But even beyond that, they remind us that we were born speaking the non-verbal language of a field of energy that actually, now, scientifically, is shown to have the power to help ease the changes.

What I mean by that is this. We are born with the ability to create very powerful emotions in our hearts. And this is the ability that was lost when many of our most cherished texts were edited. The biblical texts, for example, when they were edited, 45 books were lost. When the mystery schools, when they went underground and they stopped teaching openly these traditions, the very traditions that were lost are the ones that tell us that when we feel a certain way in our heart—heart-based living—that we literally create a wave, a magnetic wave from our hearts that influences the very fields of the earth the are undergoing the change and causing the chaos. And this changes everything, Jennifer, and it brings full circle.

Our most cherished spiritual traditions in the science of today and it helps to answer some of the questions: What's going on and what do we do? So, I

wanted to say that as we go into this. And I'm going to tie back into these concepts as we have our conversation.

Jennifer: This is so cool. So, the changes on the planet, it feels like there's a perfect design in all these, are pushing us to actually reconnect with our heart, which is the answer and the antidote to the challenges that we are facing through the compression, what I would call compression.

Gregg: Sure. And what makes this so interesting and again there are many places in this program where one topic could easily be our entire program and what I'm going to say next is one of those places. I'm not intending for it to be the whole program, but I wanted to just give some context here. I was trained as a scientist, my degrees are in the earth sciences and what I know is that our planet is undergoing that kind of change that we only see on rare occasions. But what really helps to bring this into context, Jennifer, is when we begin to understand that the changes are not limited to the earth.

Right now, every planet in our solar system is documented as undergoing a rare shift, changes, that we've never seen them before. And the indications are that it even extends beyond our solar system. So, for example, we know right now that the planets Uranus and Neptune, they both have undergone a 180 degree magnetic reversals in just the last few years. Jupiter, the magnetic field has doubled on the planet Jupiter. Mars has global warming. And the ice caps on Mars are melting right now.

Jennifer: Holy cow! Mars has global warming.

Gregg: Well, what this says to us is that whatever is happening is so huge. It's so massive. It's so rare. It's not just about us here on earth. There's something big going on at least in our part of the galaxy. And we can talk about this a little bit. We can look into the cycles of the past and see what this means and whether or not it's ever happened before. But to me, it helps me to understand that we're part of something maybe much, much bigger perhaps than we've ever imagined.

Jennifer: Yes.

Gregg: And then we come full circle with that and realize that the changes are pushing us to come to terms with ourselves and our ability to ease the transition by simply honoring our truest nature. And this all comes back to a heart-based experience that's much more than a fluffy New Age kind of thing that so many of the skeptics think that we're talking about. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Jennifer: Yes. It’s an energy that you said is actually a part of the pulse of the earth. It's an energy that actually can enervate and back and forth. We can be enervated and it can be enervated by this heart energy. Gregg, I keep thinking about how easy it is in these times of collapsing and challenge and financial challenges that many are facing, how easy it is to retract and to stop the energy and to almost be

a little self-absorbed. I mean, it's easy to do it. It's not a judgment. It’s easy to do. But the antidote, again, is the same as what we're talking about. The antidote is to actually do the opposite.

Gregg: Well, it's impossible to retract. We can try.

Jennifer: Yes.

Gregg: And the reason is because the field that's undergoing the change is the very field that connects and sustains all life on the earth.

Jennifer: There we go. Right.

Gregg: We don't have to know this scientifically. I did an experiment a few years ago in 1998. I went with our guides and I took a group into a series of 12 monasteries and two nunneries in the highlands of Central China and Northern Tibet. And the first monastery we went into, we had the opportunity to meet with the elder abbot, is the leader of that sect and that monastery. And one of the first things, through the translator—my Tibetan is not so good—so through the translator, one of the first things that I began sharing with this abbot was about the uniqueness of our time in history and the changes of the planet and what it means from our perspective. And he just got a big smile on his face, he just giggled because, as I described the science, it's irrelevant to them. They don't need the science. They know about the changes. They allow for them in their culture. And he just asked, he said, "Why would you go to so much trouble to prove something that's so obvious that we already know?”

And this is interesting because our own science—now, science is only about 300 years old—it's a relatively recent language used to describe our relationship to the world and how things work, only 300 years old. So, for 300 years, science and scientists have been trying to prove whether or not everything is connected. Number one, the existence of this connection, and number two, they've been trying to prove whether or not we have any influence on the world beyond our bodies. And now through quantum physics and the quantum language, we've arrived at the point where both of those things we now know are true.

Jennifer: Right.

Gregg: But the controversy is how much influence do we have over our world, that scientist acknowledge that we influence our world. So, here we are, 300 years—three centuries—we've devoted our scientific energies to proving the existence of our union. And to the indigenous people, this is a riot to them. They just laugh. Because, for 5,000 years, they began with the understanding that, of course, everything is connected. So, for 5,000 years they have been exploring what that connection means and how to use it in their lives. So think how much we can learn, although it's not in the scientific language, what can we learn from our indigenous ancestors about the way they commune, the way they connect with

the forces of nature—with the rain, with the animals, with the earth, with their crops, with their plants, with their bodies. And it all comes down to a way of being. And this is where the science is so very cool, Jennifer. Because, I went to school the sixties and the seventies. I was taught that the brain is where the action is. And that's, I think, why we have a male dominated scientific society or we have in the past.

But the new science is showing us, yes, you know the brain is important. And our brain generates a little, tiny, weak electrical field and a little, tiny, weak magnetic field. But, what now the science is showing is that the human heart generates an electrical field that's about a hundred times stronger than the brain, and a magnetic field that's up to 5,000 times stronger than the brain. And these are the very fields that communicate with the stuff our world is made of. These are of fields that heal our bodies and help us to facilitate healing in one another and connect us with one another in our world. And it's in the very organ that western traditions were asked to discount and in the very ways that we have discounted, in terms of feeling and emotion in our lives. So this is the value for me, of going into these monasteries in Bolivia and Peru, in the mountains of Egypt and Tibet and Nepal and India, and our indigenous ancestors all throughout the Southwest. And I'm not saying that any of them have all of the answers. But I'm saying that, individually, they preserve a way of being that we're now only beginning to validate scientifically.

And the irony is that it's that way of being that connects us to the fields that are undergoing the change of this 5,000-year cycle, and then it all comes full circle. That's a long answer to a short question.

Jennifer: No. I love your long answers. And so, is there any technique that you learned or something that you gleaned in these explorations with these indigenous folks and the folks that are in touch with their heart and are in touch with the magnetic capacity of the heart, not from a science perspective but from just hanging out in the world perspective and nature perspective that we could use here in Western culture?

Gregg: Well, absolutely. And again, the science—the reason that the science is important because even in our culture, even in Western traditions, when we say we're right-brained or we're intuitive people, even when we may not always acknowledge it, Jennifer, we were conditioned to believe and trust in science. And what science tells us is true about our world. And we're conditioned in ways that surprise a lot of people.

So, when science can tells us that our hearts create the most powerful electromagnetic field in the body and can literally be measured from satellites 22,000 miles in space, that gets our attention. Yes. Then we feel like—maybe if we learn the language of the heart. And there is a language to be learned or remembered, because we probably all knew it when we came out of the womb

and it was conditioned out of us. But what I find is this: the first thing that the indigenous people do and this is whether I'm with the nuns and the monks in Tibet or in the Coptic monasteries in Egypt, whether I'm with the shaman in the Andes of southern Peru or our friends in the deserts of the Southwest here, the indigenous people of the Southwest—they all begin by doing the same thing. They say move into your heart.

Now, here’s what happens. Western audiences are so conditioned typically, maybe not people on this call, but in a big audience. I was just with 5500 people in Tampa, Florida and I asked them to do this. I said, "Okay, everybody move into your hearts.” Many people are so conditioned to being in their minds and what they do is they simply think about what it would be if they were in their hearts.

Okay, so here’s the answer to your question. I'll invite everyone listening to this program, I want to invite you to try this for yourself. How do we move into our hearts? There are many, many techniques but one that I see almost universally—men and women, old and young, from the highest mountains in Tibet to the deserts of the Southwest—they do the same thing. When we say move into your heart, what they do is they physically touch the center of their chest, either with their fingertips or they'll create a prayer mudru with both hands. And then the thumbs that are facing their bodies, they'll gently press their thumbs, press them into the hollow of the chest, right over the sternum. And that gentle pressure has this amazing effect. It draws our awareness from our mind to the place in our body where we feel the pressure. And this is why when we begin a meditative or a prayer-based process, often you'll hear the instructor, the leader will say uncross your legs or uncross your arms. Because if your legs and your arms and your knees are crossed, those are pressure points as well and your attention goes to those places.

Jennifer: Oh, that makes sense.

Gregg: So when we draw our attention into our hearts, that’s where the action begins. It’s just moving from our minds into our hearts. Now, I was doing a seminar in Northern California in the mid-nineties. And I was sharing this in a little bookstore south of the Bay area. And afterwards, there were a couple of researchers that came up to me and they said, "Well, where did you learn that?” And I said, "Where did I learn what?” And they said, "Where did you learn about calling your attention into your heart and beginning the process from there.” And I said, well, I learned that from the indigenous people that I've visited in the world. And it's also described in some of the texts like the Gospel of Thomas that was lost from the Old Testament, when the biblical books were edited. So I said, "I learned it from the old ways. Why?” And they said, "Well, that's what our researchers have found in the laboratories today and we incorporated that into our teachings. You should come with us.” So I got in the car and I drove off with

these people to a place that now is called the Institute of HeartMath in Northern California, I believe. Haven't you had Howard Martin on the program?

Jennifer: Yes, I have. And he’s also going to the show again in the spring.

Gregg: Okay. Well, Howard Martin is one of the vice-presidents of the Institute of HeartMath. He and I just shared the stage last weekend in Cincinnati. We tour the world sharing the information that we're sharing today. And he’s a beautiful man. I'm going to encourage everyone to listen to this program when he comes on. But at the Institute of HeartMath, what they're doing is formalizing for the Western world—they're pioneers in heart-based research. Looking at the potential of the human heart in ways that are not acknowledged in the open literature or taught in our schools or classrooms today. And interesting, the techniques that they've arrived at parallel the ones that I've learned from our ancestors and from the indigenous people. So it makes sense for us to work together. And they all begin with what I've just shared: it’s moving from our mind, getting out of our logical mind into the place, the physical location of our heart with our awareness. So that's simple pressure. I'm doing it right now. It’s just a gentle pressure. You can tap or touch or rub your fingertips over your heart center. And once you draw your awareness into that place in your heart and you begin to breathe from that place, what the people at the Institute of HeartMath have found is that in the English language, the words that create the feelings in the heart, that create the optimum experience of the things that we're talking about, the words are words like “care.” In our hearts, when we care for another being or another creature—maybe a baby bunny, imagine holding a baby bunny in our arms or our loved ones or our children—appreciation, gratitude. For some people the word “forgiveness” is a trigger that helps them to find that place.

And what's interesting, Jennifer, is everyone is different. And everyone has different experiences of these words. So, for some people, forgiveness may be a hot button that doesn’t bring a good feeling because their experience of forgiveness wasn’t good. But the words that have the least charge appear to be words like appreciation, gratitude, and care. And when we begin to hold those feelings, genuine feelings of care in our hearts, what the science shows is that our hearts begin sending a signal to our brain. And our brain responds by sending a signal back to our heart. And it's this two-way conversation that's always happening, but it becomes an optimum conversation. And they can actually measure the quality of this in terms of electrical signals and the optimum signal is 0.10 hertz or 0.10 cycles per second. So when we're feeling care in the English language or appreciation or gratitude, those are the words that create this 0.10-hertz signal. And between the heart and the brain, it establishes a condition that we call coherence, so optimum coherence. Now, this is important. This is really important because this coherence for our own bodies, it sets up the conditions, a cascade of healing conditions. This is where we optimize our immune system. It gets really strong. DHEA levels increase up to a 100% and

lasts for six hours just from three minutes of this kind of an experience. Stress levels decrease. Cortisol levels decrease. So that's all documented in the scientific journals and published in peer review journals.

But where this really get interesting and what the new research is showing and what brings all of this back to the first five minutes of our conversation is that that 0.10 hertz that is the optimum conversation between our heart and our brain happens to overlap the very frequencies that surround and blanket and envelop our planet. And the frequencies that are part of the field that link all life together, from an amoeba to a blade of grass, to a hamster to a goldfish, the president of every nation, the CEO of every corporation. There is no “them” and “us” in this field; there is a “we.” And it's this feeling that creates the signal in our hearts that tunes and hones the language of our heart connecting us with this field in a really empowering, positive way.

And that coherence that we feel inside of our bodies then can literally be measured in the fields of the earth as well. And when many people create the coherence, there is an effect. And the effect is so strong it can be measured by satellites 22,000 miles in space.

Jennifer: Wow!

Gregg: And the beauty is we don't have to know any science. What we're doing is following the traditions of our most ancient and cherished practices. But the science is helping us to understand what to do more of to help it work better and maybe what to do less of. And that's the beauty of understanding this heart-based experience and the role it plays in our lives.

Jennifer: I remember when Howard was on last time. He talked about the neurology that they've discovered in the heart. Is that part of that process?

Gregg: Well, it is.

Jennifer: The neural tissue.

Gregg: Well, our heart literally has its own brain-like tissue. I mean, certainly not to the capacity of the brain in our head. But neural tissue with a memory is now acknowledged. There are peer-reviewed papers where they're discussing this. They first discovered this, Jennifer, it's kind of interesting and kind of funny. One of the first reported cases was a woman in her eighties that received a heart transplant from a teenager—a boy, I believe, who was 13 or 14 years old. And it was successful. And when she woke up and the doctor said—I'm paraphrasing because I wasn't there—the doctor said, "How are you feeling?” And she said, "I'm feeling good and I'm hungry.” And he said, "Okay, we'll get you some food.” And she said, "I don't want hospital food.” She wanted very specific kinds of foods. And I think everybody on this call probably knows what they were. They were French fries but not just any old French fries. They were McDonald’s

Jennifer McLean – Healing With the Masters, www.HealingRelease.com

French fries and certain kinds of burgers. And the research showed that these were the favorite foods of the boy whose body that heart had been at. And they said, well, maybe it’s a fluke. So they began a series of studies and now what they’re finding is it’s not uncommon for the person receiving the heart to take on some—not personality characteristics, I’m not saying that, but to take on some of the cravings and the desires of those whose body the heart was in prior. And now they’re attributing that to the neural tissue, the memory that the heart has.

Jennifer: Wow. So the cravings and desire which are part of the heart—

Gregg: Absolutely. But this is also fascinating to me because—I’m just going to take a step back, but the event that led scientists to this understanding of our connectedness is one of the most tragic events in the history, at least in recent memory. We’ve got two satellites in the northern hemisphere that are always sending back a signal to the earth every 30 minutes. And in that signal they’re telling us how strong the magnetic fields of our planet are. This is important. The magnetic field connects all life, it sustains all life. It’s a buffer that protects us from solar plasma and particles from the sun. So it’s good to know what these fields are doing.

Jennifer: And we’re part of that magnetic field through our heart—

Gregg: We are and every day those fields, they rise and fall, they ebb and they flow within a certain range and that’s precisely what happened. In science, we’re using to seeing that ebb and flow. But there was one day where the field just spiked. I mean for a scientist that was off the chart. And they said, what on earth, what in the world is happening to create this spike in the magnetic field that sustain all life? And they overlaid that onto a counter of time and it’s probably no surprise to everybody on this call, it was September 11th 2001 when at least hundreds of millions and possibly billions of people simultaneously were having an emotional response, a heart-based response to the images that they were seeing on the media as the television pictures picked up the towers in New York City and what was happening there. And that led to a series of studies and Howard Martin I know will talk more about these. The Institute of HeartMath is heading up many of these studies determining to what degree that relationship exists. How much influence do we really have to affect these fields of the earth? We know that they affect us but how much do we affect them? And this is the first time we’re finding out that it’s a two-way conversation. Just like our heart speaks to our brain, it appears that our heart speaks to the fields of the earth that sustain all life.

Jennifer: I can’t let you not talk about coherence and HeartMath without talking about the emWave. I just want to make sure that for those who might be interested and it’s reminding me that I need to get mine out of the dark.

Gregg: I gave mine away to an executive from PBS. Once she saw how it worked she was so excited I couldn’t ask for it back.

Jennifer: So yes, the emWave is a device that HeartMath has created to assist people in achieving coherence. And to me it feels a little bit like biofeedback but I know that it doesn’t do the same thing as biofeedback does because it measures this heart-brain relationship.

Gregg: Well, it is a form of feedback. First I’m just going to say I’m a low tech guy in a high-tech world. I’m not really into gadgets. I mean I was listening to cassettes and watched the black and white TV until much more recently than I want to acknowledge. I don’t watch a lot of TV. But what HeartMath has done is first on your PC or on your Mac, they’ve developed a software so that an individual can tell very quickly when they are actually feeling the feeling that creates the coherence in their bodies. And this is important because there are some times where people, they‘ve been trained to feel a certain way and they don’t get the results and they use this technology and all of a sudden they say, wow, I thought I was supposed to feel this way. It’s just a little subtle shift and it will make that difference. Have you had that experience, Jennifer?

Jennifer: Absolutely. It’s actually a fundamental different feeling within me.

Gregg: Well, it is. And for some people it’s very natural and for other people it’s a whole different thing, especially if you were exploring meditation or inner body experiences during the ‘60s, ‘70s, and ‘80s. A lot of people thought they were just supposed to like zone out and relax and bliss out. While those are good feelings, sometimes that’s not what coherence is all about and nothing could be further from coherence. It’s a very active focus of care and appreciation and gratitude held in the heart center. And so the software that is called the emWave is available on PCs. And there was such a demand for this in places where PCs weren’t practical that the engineers at the Institute of HeartMath were able to miniaturize all of the technology into a device that’s about the size of a cell phone. But the beauty is there are no dials, there are no charts, and there are no graphs. It’s a completely color-driven, sound-driven intuitive experience that the children love. To me it’s like if you came to this world from another planet you might pick this up before you’d pick up what the charts and the graphs and the numbers and the dials mean because that’s all based on our science. The personal emWave is all very intuitive in the way it works. And what we found—and I say we, just for transparency, I’m on the advisory board with HeartMath for a project to create “coherence” on a global level. It’s called the Global Coherence Initiative. We’re actually building sensors to pick up the fields around the planet, put them up on a website so everybody can see them and teaching and training people to accomplish and achieve coherence in their personal lives so that we know when we’re having the feelings that benefit us the most. And this is where the spontaneous healings in our personal bodies come from. And

now the science is showing us this is where we can tip the scales of global change in our favor because in the presence of coherence, people are more peaceful. They’re less aggressive. They’re more willing to cooperatively solve the problems rather than fighting to get something done. And I can’t think of a more worthwhile project or a better way to be anytime and especially now because the experts are telling us we’re at this rare pivotal moment of 5,000 years of change when this generation is choosing the outcome for 5,000 years of history in the way we’ve chosen to live our lives. All of the things that are sustainable are continuing and the things that aren’t are collapsing and we’re making the choices to determine which of those we keep and which we let go and we’re doing it right now, right this very minute, about the way we feel, the way we feel in our hearts.

Jennifer: And what’s sustainable, it’s macro and micro, right? I mean what’s sustainable within our own lies and that’s why things are showing up to shift us pretty dramatically in what may look like bad ways. What is not sustainable is collapsing, including health and including finances.

Gregg: Precisely, Jennifer. And I think the native American Hopi of the desert Southwest here in North America—I know we have people from other parts of the world listening—they have one of the clearest descriptions. There’s a petroglyph, an ancient map, that is carved into a rock on their pueblo in northern Arizona and no one knows for sure who put it there and how long it’s been there but it’s a map of time and the two paths that humankind may choose from the time of the last great change, the last cycle, until we go through this one. And each path looks good to begin with but one of them gets very rough and goes nowhere and the other one is smooth and people live to advanced ages and the food is plentiful. And what they say is the path that goes nowhere is the path of comfort, greed and profit. And I asked them about this. I said, well, tell me about profit. Are you saying that it’s a bad thing to make money? And I’m mentioning this now because of what you just said before this, Jennifer. They said it’s not about money. This is the kind of profit where one person or an organization or a company or a nation benefit at the expense of another. It’s not necessarily about dollars and cents. It’s about the experience. If we benefit at someone else’s suffering, that’s the kind of profit that they say is the path that actually leads nowhere. It will collapse and won’t get us through this cycle. But the second path is the path of love, strength and balance. And it’s about cooperatively working together to get through whatever it is we’re going to get through and that brings us back full cycle the way we were in the first five minutes of this program. We’re living this rare precious moment. It is a fact that we’re living the end of a 5,125-year-long cycle, a mysterious world age that began in 3114 BC and ends 2012 AD. That’s a fact. And it’s a fact that we have lived through at least four and possibly five such cycles in the past. And it is a fact that some of the greatest civilizations in the history of the earth collapsed when they reached the point in their cycle where we find ourselves today.

Healing With the Masters Teleseminar – Dec 10, 2009: Gregg Braden

Jennifer McLean – Healing With the Masters, www.HealingRelease.com

But here’s the key—they didn’t collapse because of the physical changes. They made a mistake that I believe we can avoid by learning from the past. And the mistake is simply this—the mistake that they made was in the world change and they didn’t understand the cycles. In their fear, those civilizations began to fight one another for the last vestiges of the disappearing resources. And in their violent competition, everybody lost. Nobody won. They collapsed and disappeared and some of those civilizations were only rediscovered in the 20th century. There’s one on the border between India and Pakistan, in the Rogistan province. There’s one in northern Peru. There’s one in the deserts of Turkey. All of these, right at the 5,000 year mark, at the end of the last cycle. So the question is, are we making that mistake today? Are we making the same mistake? And if we are, what can we learn from our past? Can we choose to cooperatively work together and help one another get through this moment of change? What the science is showing is that the change is intense but it’s really brief.

Jennifer: Okay, it’s intense but brief.

Gregg: So we’re going through some intense brief periods. My sense, Jennifer, is that the intensity of the change will drive us to work together because we need to. And I think that we’ll find that we’re better people and we have a better world when we work together. And so even after the cycle is complete and the new cycle begins, after 2012, I think we’ll keep working together because we find there’s a better way to live and then the rebirth of the new world, the new world age that so many of these traditions talk about becomes a reality in our lives. It’s not the end of the world. It’s the end of a great world age and by definition that means it’s a beginning of everything that comes next.

Jennifer: I always thought that it was the end of time as we know it, that it’s a different phase and stage in our evolution and I even talk about that time is speeding up, that these poles of the earth—it has actually been used by the industrial, the war functions, they’ve developed technology that leverages this pulse and this pulse is showing us that time appears to be speeding up and that time after whatever happens in 2012 that that time is going to be—has driven us to a new place.

Gregg: Well, I think the Mayans say this clearly. They said that time won’t mean the same thing to us. Nobody knows exactly what that means. But what we do know is that the world, they said, you won’t recognize yourselves, you won’t recognize the world as you go through this change. And I think we can say that of ourselves right now. Our world is a very different world than it was even two years ago.

Jennifer: Yes, I’m certainly different. Most of the people in this community are different.

Gregg: Well, absolutely. So this is the value of a program like this. I mean this is no ordinary time in the history of our planet and that means this could be no ordinary

program. And I think it’s really for me, my man brain and my heart find it very useful to recognize that when we talk about 2012, it’s less about a date but more about a zone of time, a window of time that we actually entered mathematically, we entered this 2012 zone right around the year 1980 and we leave the zone right around the year 2016. 2012 happens to be the solstice day when to us it looks like—and the Mayans identified this—it looks like the sun rises out of that dark rift in the Milky Way, the place of birth and death. Well, all souls go after their lives and where new life comes from. So that’s why we chose 2012. We imagine, I don’t think no one knows for certain. But what it means is that we’re well into the zone of 2012. We’re well into the changes and we’re already seeing all around us the most frightening of the changes that so many are waiting and predicting and anticipating three years from now. We’re already seeing sea levels rise. We’re already seeing millions of people dying from a disease that has no medical cure. We’re already seeing forest fires raging out of control in multiple continents. We’re already seeing extremes in temperature and rainfall and snowfall. I’ll tell you about the temperature right now. We’re already seeing the wars and the conflicts and the potential for global war. We’re seeing that right now. We’re seeing sea levels rise and wipe entire communities off the coastlines. And all of those are what the prophecies and the predictions are talking about. But we’re also seeing a lot of really good things happening at the same time. And I think that’s important to know that the most frightening of the predictions are already the reality of our lives. And that’s why programs like this are so important because the same scientists that are telling us about the change are also telling us that the images of our world that we surround ourselves with now tend to become the reality of our world in the very near future. And if everybody is looking at 2012 and waiting and fearing and anticipating some really bad things happening, I think it’s important to create some alternative images of our future, that’s another conversation.

Jennifer: Oh yes. I’m starting to see the perfection of the divine dance of our life in so many ways. I see how the challenge pushes me to understand something deeper that allows me to create an opening, that allows me to be of service and create something new, that allows others to push them into the same—and that creates heart openings and that heart opening is part of our planetary pulse that we are connected to and then as we open our hearts, the hearts of all have the opportunity to be nudged a little bit more.

Gregg: And “all” is the key word. It’s not just about people that are on board this bandwagon. This is the choir and we love the choir and to bring about change we have to reach well beyond the choir. But the beauty of heart-based technology is that not every human on the face of the earth needs to close their eyes and move into their hearts and create 0.10 hertz coherence for all humans to benefit from a relatively few number of people that do that. And that’s the beauty. Not everyone has the luxury of having a conversation and taking a night to do what we’re doing. Many people are just trying to literally survive trying to

get through the end of the day and some of our family won’t. Some of our family won’t make it through this day. But we’re the part of our family, for whatever reason, that’s been blessed with the opportunity to explore our inner nature and to explore our relationship to our world and now our opportunity to apply what we’ve learned to bring the wisdom of our relationship to the earth to bear upon the conditions that we find ourselves in.

Jennifer: And we can do that by being in touch with our heart, by finding coherence.

Gregg: Absolutely. So that’s the introduction to our program tonight. I’m ready to go—

Jennifer: Let’s go for it now.

Gregg: Through the length of the program.

Jennifer: So we’re going to be stopping in about eight minutes or so, so I do want to direct people, if they’re interested in hearing a lot more about Gregg’s special offer that Hay House and I put together for you and it’s www.healingwiththemasters.com/greggspecial. It’s a really cool package that includes his book, Fractal Time that talks in depth more about what Gregg has been talking about tonight. The Science of Miracles that talks about the quantum language of healing peace, feeling and belief that we can—

Gregg: That’s a DVD, I believe, The Science of Miracles. It’s the first time I’m hearing this so I’m really interested in what they did. The Science of Miracles is a DVD.

Jennifer: It’s a DVD. It’s a wonderful DVD. It’s going to talk about how reversing disease, redefining aging, creating peace between nations and even changing reality itself. The third thing you’re going to get is a four-CD set called Unleashing the Power of the God Code. I loved your The God Code book. It’s talking about the ancient messages, what’s encoded into the cells of your body, understanding the lost keys that allowed DNA to be translated into other languages. There are some proven stuff here too from Bruce Lipton around DNA that you actually wrote about before he even wrote that book.

Gregg: Well, Bruce and I, our difference and spiritual brothers. We’ve toured the world together and we’ve actually presented together frequently and we both support one another in our work. I’m really honored to have some of Bruce’s work in this package tonight. And I want to thank Hay House, my publisher, for putting all these together with you. I didn’t know that this had happened.

Jennifer: I know. It’s pretty exciting. I contacted them last week and said, hey, can we do something. That’s not all—there’s one more four-CD set, the Spontaneous Healing of Belief is here too. Plus I also threw in the last three shows you’ve been on, including tonight’s on Healing with the Masters where we’ve gone into some really cool details about many of the topics that are found in this book. So you’ve got the cliff notes version through Healing with the Masters plus all the

CDs, eight CDs, a DVD and a book. So it’s a really, really cool package and we’ve priced it at an outrageous rate. You won’t find this anywhere else. It’s only $67 for all of that, a $145 value. So that’s at healingwiththemasters.com/Gregg. And I wanted to make sure people knew about that before we finished.

But to kind of finish up here, you’ve been so generous and really giving us a nice framework for what’s happening to us all. But the thing I keep coming back to is the people that feel and seem like they’re lost and they’re stuck. And one of the things that feel so clear to me from what you’re saying is that part of the way to get unstuck is to start to trust, start to have faith in this process, start to feel your heart, start to be of service even. And so I was wondering if you could talk a little bit about—I know that you’ve probably come across lots of those folks as well. How can we guide them?

Gregg: It’s a great question. It’s about practical applications. We are all part of this field. Everyone is connected to the field and the only thing that prevents us from feeling we’re part of the field is our feelings, our feelings of isolation or resentment or anger or frustration on sometimes they’re conscious, sometimes they’re not. And I know you’ve got a series here and you’ve got a lot of very good people either have been or will be on this series that help us get into that unconscious nature, our subconscious beliefs and the things that keep us from the joy and the fulfillment in our lives. So I’m going to encourage our listeners to check those out. But for me, what I have found and for some people they say it’s too simple. I think we live in a simple universe and that the world is only as difficult as we choose to make it. We get up in the morning and if we actively seek out ways to help other people have a better way, what can we do when we wake up in the morning? What is it we can do? What one thing can we do today to contribute to help this world be a better place? And by virtue of contributing to our collective world we’re also contributing to our personal well-being. What we find is we begin to feel differently in our lives. All of a sudden things feel different too as the world feels different to us. And it’s those little acts, those small acts of kindness, care and giving that open our hearts to the field that’s already there. And once we open it—I’m just going to tell you a story. I knew a gentleman I used to work with as an engineer. He said, “Man, I don’t believe in this stuff, I’m not into it. But everybody’s talking about it,” and he said, “so I’m going to try it once. I’m going to try it for one day and just see what happens.” And I said, that’s okay, just do it one day because I knew in my heart that once we tap into this field, there’s no turning back. We don’t want to go back because it opens us to this flood of empowered emotion that literally breathes life and healing into our individual bodies and helps us contribute collectively to the world that is going through this tremendous change and it’s all about care, however we can contribute that care in our own lives or to someone else. So we don’t any science for that. You don’t any instruction for that. That’s something we can do every day. But there are a lot of very good people in your program that will give

some very structured information about how to go about doing specific techniques, tapping into the subconscious to find out where our blocks are and all of those things. So they all work together I think.

Jennifer: Yes, it think it’s no accident that there’s such a bevy of information out there now from a multitude of teachers all at the same time, all directing us in a very similar way but with a slightly different package of information.

Gregg: Oh, and everyone learns differently and everyone hears words differently. For example, people listening here tonight, maybe your family wouldn’t relate to my words and my languaging. But people listening tonight can take what we’ve said, translate it into your family language and share it at the dinner table and then the people learn from them instead of from me and in that way we all work together. And I think that’s just the way it works.

Jennifer: Yes. We do have a couple of questions about HeartMath. I will send you the link to HeartMath and to the emWave so that you’ll have it. So if you’re interested in that, I’ll be sending that in the link tomorrow in tomorrow’s email, so look for that. I have a question from Deborah who says—I thought there was this kind of a curious question interesting which is 0.10 hertz. Is that an audible sound?

Gregg: It is not. It’s an extremely low frequency sound. At least it’s not audible to the average human. It’s at this really interesting place. You don’t really hear it with your ears but you can kind of feel it in your body. So it’s right below this threshold of hearing for most people. Now I think animals certainly hear 0.10 hertz. But we tend to sense it more than we hear it audibly, if that makes any sense.

Jennifer: Yes. And so Sue from Pittsburg asked a little bit earlier on the show, she said, ”Do you know what is causing the periodic shifts? Some say they are precipitated by the appearance of great beings on the planet, manifestations of God, like Krishna, Abraham, Moses, Buddha, Jesus, Mohammed, etc. And most recently Baha’u’llah, I wonder who that is.

Gregg: That’s the founder of the Baha’i faith.

Jennifer: Oh, the Baha’i faith, right. They bring teachings that promote our continuing and progressive development of our evolution. Have you ever heard of this?

Gregg: Well, I’ve certainly heard of it. It appears that the masters appear at the time that the shift is occurring rather than trigger the shift. And to answer the question, this is a question that our own scientists are asking now. They used to believe—it depends on what level the shift we want to look at. The earth’s orbit, tilt, and the rotation, all of those things, where we are in our orbit around the center of the Milky Way all play a role. But now that we know that the shift is happening in every planet in our solar system and we’re seeing things even beyond, it implies a physics that we’re only beginning to understand and it implies that whatever is

driving this, it’s not happening around here. It’s happening somewhere far, far away and we are part of a great cosmic cycle that somehow our ancestors understood, without satellites, and GPS and computers. And we are only beginning to understand because nobody living today was here 5,000 years ago, at least in the same body, I’m imagining. It’s so long from one cycle to the next that the way the information is transmitted, we’re hearing about it from myths and stories and dances from the tribes in Africa and paintings on the walls of the temples. That’s how we know about this. How will we preserve what we now experienced for the next generation 5,000 years from now that goes through the same experience, I don’t know. But to answer the question, whatever is driving it is probably happening on a much larger scale throughout, at least throughout our entire Milky Way and maybe beyond.

Jennifer: Well, we have run out of time officially. It’s always so much fun having you on the show and talking about this cool stuff with you.

Gregg: So it’s a little bit kind of an evening. It was more like casual conversation more than a structured teaching. We’ve covered some ground tonight, a lot of ground actually that we haven’t covered in the past. And that’s good and I really appreciate your trust and your intuition to ask the questions and lead us where you do, Jennifer.

Jennifer: Well, thank you so much, Gregg, for joining us and sharing with us here wonderful insights from all your research and all your travels and your wonderful books. And again, if you’re interested in hearing more from Gregg and about Gregg and his work, we’ve put together a really cool package for you. I’m excited about the package. I bought it already

Gregg: You can buy one from my mom.

Jennifer: Yes, seriously. At such a good price too. You can’t buy it at that rate.

Gregg: I can’t.

Jennifer: So you’re welcome to go to healingwiththemasters.com/greggspecial. Of course there is a button right there if you’re on the webcast that will take you right to the special. Also, you are welcome to go to the audio and listen to this again, if there’s any nuances you’d like to catch, again, there’ll be a button there. There’s a button on the healingwiththemasters.com/webcast.htm page as well.

Gregg: Do you edit out all the bad jokes or do you leave everything in there?

Jennifer: It’s all there. Even the bad jokes. So thank you so much for joining us tonight, Gregg. It was really, really awesome having you on the show again. I hope we continue to have you as one of our regular guests here. You’re such an important voice in our world right now with the science and the spirituality and helping people‘s minds to find the evidence they need to follow their hearts.
