Works – General Rules• For all works on UoR you must be
competent • All work must be covered by a risk
assessment• All chlorination and legionella testing
to be done by UoR approved MTC contractor
• All works must be considered to be near live utilities unless you have specific information that it is otherwise
• All accidents and incidents must be reported to your line manager and the UoR project or maintenance manager

Permits• There is no permit for working on the
water system. There is however, permits for excavations, hot work, roof access as well as restricted access areas.
• Permits are required if you are carrying out works involving any of the above as part of the work.

UoR Standards• UoR issues every contracting
company with a UoR Rules and Guidance document
• We also issue individual contractors a guide for working on UoR. Therefore, there can be no excuse for not following the rules.
