I have the houor to forward you my Report for the Year ending 31st
December 1879, comprised under the following heads, viz. :-
( 1.) Return of vessels hoarded during each mouth of the year.
( 2.) Return of vessels arrived from the port of London.
( 3.) Return of vessels arrived ti·om the port of Liverpool.
( 4.) Return of vessels arrived from various other ports in the United Kingdom.
( 5.) Return of vesselH arrived from various ports in the United States of America.
( 6.) Return of vessels arrived from Mauritius and Bourbon.
( 7.) Return of vessels from all other ports.
(8.) Return of vessels from all ports, sho¥\ing total number of tonnage, number of passengers and crews, and deaths per cent. of each class during the voyage.
( 9.) Return of vessels carrying warrant and selected immigrants.
( 10.) Return of vessels placed in quarantine.
( 11.) Return showing average detention of vessels for medical inspection.
