Algonquin Nurses Home Health Care has been
caring for Medicare, Medicaid and other patients
since 1988, but the family-owned business is always
changing to reflect current trends.
Over the years, Algonquin has opened new offices
in New Haven, Cedar Hill and O’Fallon, Missouri.
“Our Medicare division is always adding thenewest programs and newest technology that is
available,” said Administrator Anne Keathley.
One of those new programs is Beyond Balance,
which helps patients with low vision and vestibular
issues. Algonquin also offers a Honeywell Home
Monitoring system and Health Light for those with
painful diabetic neuropathy.
“I had the telemonitor and it really is like having
an RN in your home every day,” said patient George C.
Algonquin also offers consumer-directed services
for patients with disabilities. Keathley owns Algonquin
Nurses with her brothers Steve and Mark Tamboli.
Their parents, Mary and Vito Tamboli, founded the
company, naming it after their favorite New York
stopover, the Algonquin Hotel. The director of
nursing is Julie Mergenthal, RN. As a family business owner, “I get the most
satisfaction from knowing that we really do make a
difference,” Keathley said. “I love when people tell
me, ‘You took care of my father and we really
appreciate all of you.”
