accessing the materials Open a web browser and go to http://vle.newcollege.ac.uk

Log in using your student id and password.

3 Click on the Health & Safety Course link in the College Links sidebar.

Health & Safety unitsRead the important note at the top of the page and then scroll down to the Unit Links section.

You should work through the first 7 units before attempting unit 8 which is the Final Assessment.

Note: After successfully passing the Final Assessment you will be put forward for the exam by your tutor.

navigating the resourcesAt the bottom of the screen you will see your progress indicator.1

In the bottom-right corner of the screen you will see the navigation buttons.2

reveals and questionsWithin the different screens you will find both reveals and questions.

For reveals you will need to click on the “Why?” button to display the answer.

For questions you will need to select an appropriate answer before you press the “Confirm” button.

unit tests• At the end of each unit is a mini-test (6 questions).

• You need to answer at least 4 questions correctly to pass the unit.

• You can re-take the unit as many times as you need to.

When you have completed the test you can click on the Exit and then click the Exit Activity link to return to the main menu.
