Next Steps - Age Friendly City
Summary• Our Healthy Ageing Profile has brought together a range of
information and services, raising awareness of the issue through it’s production.
• The Profile has been shared with partners and organisations throughout the City so that Healthy Ageing issues are understood by decision makers.
• The development of the Healthy Ageing Profile has led to our involvement with the WHO Age Friendly City movement, and this is being incorporated into Citywide Regeneration work of connecting with our communities.
• The WHO initiative has now been transformed from an information document, has informed organisational thinking and development and has led to a mainstream area of work that will continue to address Healthy Ageing issues.
