An Overview

Year of Establishment – 1962

The Department came into existence simultaneously with the foundation of the University in 1962. In the period of more than half a century, the Department has been headed by eleven renowned Professors and academicians, all of whom have rendered their services with great zeal and enthusiasm, to the Department as well as to the University. Two of our former Heads, Dr. S. K. Prasad and Dr. C. P. Singh also had the opportunity of becoming the Vice-Chancellor of this University.
