    Established by the Govt. of India on 21st Dec 1958 by

    our first P.M Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

    H.E.C was started to meet country's aspiration for

    rapid industrialization and to meet the requirement in

    steel sector.

    G.O.I and U.S.S.R. developed the project with the co-

    operation of the Soviet Government.

    1. F.F.P (FOUNDRY FORGE PLANT):

    Manufacturer of heavy castings and forgings for various equipment related to

    Steel Plant, Power, Defence, Nuclear energy etc.

    The plant was established in collaboration with SKODAEXPORT of

    erstwhile CSSR.

    2. H.M.B.P (HEAVY MACHINE BUILDING PLANT):

    Designs and manufactures equipments and their components for Steel Plant,

    Mining, Power, Cement, Aluminum, Space Research,

    Nuclear Power etc.. The plant has floor area of 2,00,000 sq.m (fenced area of5,70,000 sq.m). (ISO 9001:2000)

    3. H.M.T.P HEAVY MACHINE TOOLS PLANT :

    Designs and manufactures medium & heavy duty CNC and conventional

    Machine Tools. (ISO 9001:2008)
