Student iPad Setup
The Division IT Department has competed the ini;al setup of your iPad. With your classroom teacher, you will complete the remaining setup and configura;on steps.
In comple;ng the ini;al setup, we used the Camera App to capture an image of your network and Apple ID
creden;als. You’ll find that photo in the Photos App.
IMPORTANT NOTE
iTunes & App Store SeKngsSECTION 1
In this sec;on, we need to ensure that the Apps switch is turned on for Automa;c Downloads in the iTunes & App Store.

Swipe to the first page of Apps on the iPad and tap on Se4ngs.

In the Se4ngs menu on the le: hand side of the screen, tap on iTunes & App Store.

Check to make sure you are in fact signed into the App Store. Is your Apple displayed here?
If not, enter your Apple ID and password and tap Sign In.

Installing Apps from theApp Catalog to your iPad

Now that you are enrolled into the App Deployment System, you can now download the apps from the App Catalog. Here’s how...
Tap on App Catalog, again.

Tap on the Purchased Tab at the top of the page.
Then, tap on the Install buJon next to the App you wish to download.
Since you have already registered your Apple ID, you are free to download any apps from the App Catalog.
If I were to tap on Install for Book Creator...

If you were to tap the home buJon at this point...

You’ll see Book Creator in the process of downloading and installing itself on the iPad...

And when complete, Book Creator will be installed on the iPad and ready to use.
Repeat this process and install any or all of the apps available in the Purchased secEon of the App Catalog.
Installing Other iOS Apps
SECTION 3
In this sec;on, I will demonstrate how to download Apps from your purchase history in the Apple App Store.

To install any addiEonal free apps or apps you may have previously purchased using your Apple ID, tap on the App Store...

The App Store will open.
If you receive a noEce about downloading all the Apple Apps, click Not Now.
At the boJom of the page, tap on Purchased...

At the boJom of the page, tap on Purchased to display all of the apps you have previously downloaded using your Apple ID...

You can choose to view ALL apps, or just the Apps that are not on this iPad.
If the app in quesEon was an app you had previously paid for, you will not be charged again to download and install it on the iPad.
To install any of these previously purchased apps on the iPad, just tap on the download icon next to the desired app.
As the iPads are remaining at school this year,they are intended for educa;onal use only.
Games and any other entertainment or social media apps are NOT permiQed to be installed on the iPad this year.
Educa;onal Apps Only!
Teachers will rou;nely check iPads for unauthorized apps and will impose device restric;ons as required.

We suggest that you use your birth Month, followed by your birthday.
If you were born on September 16, 2001, for example, you would use 0916 as the passcode.
