Heinrich Himmler born in Munich, Bavaria, on Oct. 7, 1900.

Himmler joined the army in 1917 as an officer cadet.

By the time of the invasion of the Soviet Union in 1941, Himmler controlled all the organs of police and intelligence power, and through the SS he dominated the concentration and extermination camps in Poland.
