Most Americans have in their homes a book of 66 books bound in one volume, called simply, "The Bible." This book is the religious book of 95% of all the churches in the English-speaking nations such as our own. Is the Bible a closed book to you? Or do you understand portions of it, while the rest remains a mystery? You do want to increase your understanding of the Bible, do you not? In the next few minutes, I am going to give you a key that will unlock the myster- ies of the Bible. The Bible story begins in Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." In the rest of chapter 1 we are told of the cre- ation of the animals and "all living crea- tures on the earth and under the sea." Chapter 2 is of the forming of Adam, placing him in the garden of Eden, of Eve, their disobedience, and removal from the Garden. In a few more pages we read of the flood, the saving of Noah and his household, and the spreading of their descendants across the land. On page 9 of my Bible, we learn of the building of the tower of Babel, its destruc- tion, God's confounding of the people's lan- guage, and their dispersion across the earth. In only 9 pages. God covers many cen- turies, including awesome and terrifying calamities. Then on page 10 God speaks to one man, a man named Abraham, and from this page on, for over a thousand pages, the Bible is about Abraham and his descen- dants. Is the Bible a closed book to you? Or doyou understand portions of it, while the restremains a mystery? You do want to increaseyour understanding of the Bible, do younot? In the next few minutes, I am going togive you a key that will unlock the myster-ies of the Bible. The Bible story begins inGenesis 1:1 — "In the beginning Godcreated the heaven and the earth." Inthe rest of chapter 1 we are told of the cre-ation of the animals and "all living crea-tures on the earth and under the sea."

Chapter 2 is of the forming of Adam, placing him in the garden of Eden, of Eve,their disobedience, and removal from theGarden. In a few more pages we read of theflood, the saving of Noah and his household, and the spreading of their descendantsacross the land.

On page 9 of my Bible, we learn of thebuilding of the tower of Babel, its destruc-tion, God's confounding of the people's lan-guage, and their dispersion across theearth.

In only 9 pages. God covers many cen-turies, including awesome and terrifyingcalamities. Then on page 10 God speaks toone man, a man named Abraham, and fromthis page on, for over a thousand pages, theBible is about Abraham and his descen-dants.

On page 10, in Genesis 12:2:3, God saysto this man:

“And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee and make thyname great, and thou shalt be a bless-ing. And I will bless them that blessthee, and curse them that curseth thee:and in thee shall all families of theearth be blessed.”

Then follows a number of meetingsbetween God and Abraham. God latermeets with Abraham's son, Isaac, and laterwith Jacob, the son of Isaac, and repeats thepromises (or covenants) made withAbraham. All of these promises andcovenants have to do with the future ofJacob's children.

The rest of the Bible deals almost exclu-sively with these heirs of the covenants andthe promises, called in the Bible, "The chil-dren of Israel."

The Law, the doctrines, the warnings, and admonishments, are addressed toIsrael. All of the Prophets are Israelites. Allof the writers of both the Old Testamentand the New Testaments are Israelites. InAmos 3 God said to Israel, "You only haveI known of all the families of the earth.. ."

and the covenants, and the giving ofthe law, and the service of God, and thepromises."

Abraham, though dead 2,000 years bythe time of Christ, is mentioned 69 times inthe New Testament. When Jesus was born,Zacharias said in Luke 1 that Jesus hadcome to remember God's covenant and oathwhich God had sworn to Father Abraham. And his father Zacharias was filled with theHoly Ghost, and prophesied, saying:

“Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; forhe hath visited and redeemed his peo-ple, And hath raised up an horn of sal-vation for us in the house of his servantDavid; As he spake by the mouth of hisholy prophets, which have been sincethe world began: That we should besaved from our enemies, and from thehand of all that hate us; To perform themercy promised to our fathers, and toremember his holy covenant; The oathwhich he sware to our fatherAbraham...”

----- Luke 1:67-73

In Acts 3:13, Peter said the Father ofJesus was "the God of Abraham, and ofIsaac, and of Jacob, the God of ourfathers.”

Stephen, the first Christian martyr, began his sermon in Acts 7: "The God ofglory appeared unto our father,Abraham..."; and then he preached of Godand Israel.

Paul wrote in Romans 15:4, "whatso-ever things were written aforetime werewritten for our learning..."

So let us consider just that today — thatthe Bible is the Book of God and ofAbraham's children — of one man's family,

if you please — and that the things writtenof them aforetime were written for ourlearning. And let us turn to the covenantsthat God made with Abraham, with Isaac, with Jacob, and with the children of Israel.God appeared again to Abraham inGenesis 15:

“And He brought him forth abroad, andsaid, Look now toward heaven and tellthe stars if thou be able to numberthem; And He said unto him, So shallthy seed be. And he believed in the Lord, and He counted it to him for righteous-ness.”

----- Genesis 15:5-6

This promise of great numbers of descen-dants is repeated several times.

“And Abram fell on his face, and Godtalked with him, saying, As for Me.behold. My covenant is with thee, andthou shalt be a father of many nations.Neither shall thy name any more becalled Abram, but thy name shall beAbraham: for a father of many nationshave I made thee. And I will make theeexceeding fruitful, and I will makenations of thee, and kings shall comeout of thee. And I will establish mycovenant between Me and thee and thyseed after thee in their generations foran everlasting covenant, to be a Godunto thee, and thy seed after thee.”

----- Genesis 17:3-7

“And God said unto Abraham, As forSarai thy wife, thou shalt not call hername Sarai, but Sarah shall her namebe. And I will bless her, and give thee ason also of her; yea, I will bless her, andshe shall be a mother of nations; kingsof people shall be of her.”

----- Genesis 17:15-16

Heirs of The Promise

Page 3: Heirs of the Promise - christiansfortruth.com...bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac; and I will estab-lish my covenant with him for an ever-lasting covenant,

Now Abraham already had a son,Ishmael, by Sarai's Egyptian handmaid,Hagar, but this great covenant was not tobe made with Ishmael, but with Isaac. Thisis made plain in verses 19 thru 21:

“And God said, Sarah thy wife shallbear thee a son indeed; and thou shaltcall his name Isaac; and I will estab-lish my covenant with him for an ever-lasting covenant, and with his seedafter him. And as for Ishmael, I haveheard thee: Behold, I have blessed him,and will make him fruitful, and willmultiply him exceedingly; twelveprinces shall he beget, and I will makehim a great nation. [These are the 12Arab nations]. But my covenant will Iestablish with Isaac, which Sarahshall bear unto thee at this set time inthe next year.”

----- Genesis 17:19-2l

Isaac, the son of Promise, was bornaccording to God's Word. Isaac later mar-ried Rebekah, and she was given a blessingin Genesis 24:60:

And they blessed Rebekah, and saidunto her, “Thou. art our sister, be thouthe mother of thousands of millions, and let thy seed possess the gate ofthose which hate them."

To Isaac and Rebekah were born twinsons, Esau and Jacob. Esau, although theelder, sold his birthright to Jacob, who thenbecame the rightful inheritor of thesecovenants. God appeared to Jacob to con-firm these covenants in Genesis 28, includ-ing verse 14:

“And thy seed shall be as the dust of theearth, and thou shalt spread abroad tothe west and to the east, and to the

north, and to the south; and in thee andin thy seed shall all the families of theearth be blessed.”

These and other verses make it plainthat all the covenants pertaining toAbraham's blessings were passed to Jacob, whose name later was changed to Israel. InGenesis 35 God appeared again untoJacob.

“And God said unto him, Thy name isJacob; thy name shall not be called anymore Jacob, but Israel shall be thyname; and he called his name Israel. And God said unto him, I am GodAlmighty; be fruitful and multiply; anation and a company of nations shallbe of thee, and kings shall come out ofthy loins.”

----- Genesis 35:10-11

Again we see this same thing repeatedover and over again, that. these descen-dants of the patriarches of Israel would be agreat number of people and would become amultitude of nations.

While Jacob was yet alive, Joseph wassold into bondage in Egypt. A few yearslater the other 11 sons and their familiesmoved to Egypt, where Joseph saved themfrom the famine. While still in Egypt,Jacob-Israel adopted the two sons of Joseph— Ephraim and Manasseh as his firstbornin place of Reuben and Simeon. This adop-tion as Israel's firstborn is verified in 1Chronicles 5:l-2. In verse 16 of Genesis48, Israel said,

‘. . . Let my name be named on them, and the name of my father Abrahamand Isaac; and let them grow into amultitude in the midst of the earth.”

In verse 19, Jacob prophesied that

Ephraim would become greater thanManasseh and that his seed would becomea fullness of nations.

After Joseph's death, Israel continued tomultiply, but a new king rose up overEgypt, who put the children of Israel incruel bondage. He attempted to reduceIsrael by ordering all of the male Israelitebabies killed in Egypt. Moses was saved byhis mother, raised in Pharaoh's household, but eventually was driven from Egypt. Weread in Exodus 2:23 that during Moses'absence . . .

“And it came to pass in the process oftime, that the king of Egypt died; andthe children of Israel sighed by reasonof the bondage, and they cried, andtheir cry came up unto God by reason ofthe bondage. And God heard theirgroaning, and God remembered hiscovenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.”

God then sent Moses and brought thenow 2 million or more Israelites out ofEgypt with great signs and wonders andbrought them to Mt. Sinai in the wilder-ness. There God made a covenant withthese several million descendants ofAbraham, saying to them:

“Now therefore if ye will obey my voiceindeed, and keep my covenant, then yeshall be a peculiar treasure unto meabove all people: for all the earth ismine. And ye shall be unto me a king-dom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shaltspeak unto the children of Israel. AndMoses came and called for the elders ofthe people, and laid before their facesall these words which the Lord com-manded him. And all the peopleanswered together and said, All that

the Lord hath spoken we will do. AndMoses returned the words of the peopleunto the Lord.”

----- Exodus 19:5-8

God had said to Abraham, "I will be aGod to you and to your seed after you." Thatcovenant was formalized with Abraham'sseed in what we recognize as a marriageceremony, with the bridegroom saying,"Will you obey?" and the bride answering, "Iwill." Israel became God's wife. That thewife-husband relationship is correct is veri-fied in several passages, including Isaiah54:5 —

"For thy Maker is thine husband; theLord of hosts is his name; and thyRedeemer the Holy One of Israel; TheGod of the whole earth shall he becalled."

God gave Israel the Ten Commandmentsin stone and several hundred other statutesand judgments, usually called God's Law.The first Commandment began:

“I am the Lord thy God, which havebrought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage; Thou shalthave no other gods before Me.”

While Israel was in the wilderness, learn-ing the statutes and judgments, God gavefurther promise of future greatness. InDeuteronomy 33 He gave a separateblessing to each of the tribes, with thegreater blessing recorded for Joseph inverses 13-17 —

And of Joseph he said, "Blessed of theLord be his land. For the preciousthings of heaven, for the dew, and forthe deep that coucheth beneath, Andfor the precious fruits brought forth bythe sun, and for the precious things put

forth by the moon, And for the chiefthings of the ancient mountains, andfor the precious things of the lastinghills, And for the precious things of theearth and fullness thereof, and for thegood will of him that dwelt in the bush;let the blessing come upon the head ofJoseph, and upon the top of the head ofhim that was separated from hisbrethren.”

----- Deuteronomy 33:13-17

This blessing can only mean that thedescendants of Joseph were to have a landblessed with great agricultural harvests, wealth from the seas, and ores and miner-als from the earth. The greatest portion ofthe Israel blessings would he fulfilled in thetwo sons of Joseph who had been made theinheritors of the Abrahamic covenants, aswe read in Genesis 48.

After 40 years in the wilderness, Mosesdied, and Joshua brought Israel intoCanaanland and established them there asa nation. They had been commanded toobserve God's statutes and judgments andto destroy the Canaanites out of the land, sothey would not be tempted to follow theirgods and participate in their abominations. This Israel did not do, and as a conse-quence, they suffered a series of captivitiesduring the 400 years up to the time ofDavid, as recorded in the book of Judges.

David came to the throne in Israel inapproximately 1050 B.C., and in 40 years ofwar enlarged and secured Israel as onenation in Canaanland, ruling them fromZion and Jerusalem. At one point, accordingto 1 Chronicles 21, David had over onemillion, 500 thousand men under arms, which would indicate that God's promise ofincreasing the seed of Abraham was beingfulfilled, with 10 to 15 million people livingin Palestine at that time.

When David died, his son Solomon ruledfor another 40 years, establishing an era ofpeace and prosperity and building the greattemple to Jehovah. The Israel kingdom wasso blessed it became the marvel of that partof the world. It seemed as if God's promisesand prophecies of great increase and mate-rial blessings were being fulfilled.

But after Solomon's death came a terri-ble blow. The nation was divided. The 10northern tribes established their capital inSamaria. Jerusalem now ruled only thesouthern half of Israel. The rivalry betweenthe two kingdoms, Judah and Israel, brought wars, corruption, and sin — evenworship of Baal and the other gods of the

wicked Canaanites who still lived amongthem. God sent prophets to them, warningthem he would send alien nations againstthem, who would take them captive intoother lands.

God called Israel's sin adultery and toldher through Jeremiah and Hosea that hewas divorcing her:

“And I saw, when for all the causeswhereby back- sliding Israel committedadultery, I had put her away, and givenher a bill of divorce.”

----- Jeremiah. 3:8

God said to the northern kingdom inverse 2 of the second chapter of Hosea:

"Plead with your mother, plead; for sheis not my wife, neither am I her hus-band."

The northern house of Israel, therefore, was divorced and no longer the wife ofJehovah.

God sent Assayer to conquer the north-ern Israel kingdom. The wars and deporta-tions are recorded in 2 Kings, chapters 16,17, and 18. Here are a few pertinent vers-es:

“In the ninth year of Hoshea, the kingof Assyria took Samaria, and carriedIsrael away into Assyria, and placedthem in Halah, and in Habor by theriver of Gozan, and in the cities of theMedes. . . .”“Therefore the Lord was very angrywith Israel, and removed them out ofhis sight; there was none left but thetribe of Judah only.”

----- 2 Kings 17:6 & 18

This was bad enough, but the Israelitesin the Judah kingdom were also followingthe corrupted ways of the Edomites and

Canaanites, so 7 years later, we read:

“Now in the fourteenth year of kingHezekiah did Sennacherib king ofAssayer come up against all the fencedcities of Judah, and took them.”

----- 2 Kings 18:13

This would have left only a small rem-nant of Israelites in the fortified city ofJerusalem by 700 B.C.

According to both the Bible and ancienthistoric accounts, these pagan empires usedforcible evacuation as a means of prevent-ing rebellion at a later date. They movednon-Israelites into the vacated land of thenorthern kingdom, according:

“And the king of Assayer brought menfrom Babylon, and from Cuthah, andfrom Ava, and from Hamath, and fromSepharvaim, and placed them in thecities of Samaria instead of the chil-dren of Israel; and they possessedSamaria, and placed in the cities there-of.”

----- 2 Kings 17:24

So the two conquests of Assyria wouldhave removed the vast majority of theIsraelites into Assyria and out of the land ofPalestine. The number removed would havebeen in the millions.

The prophet Jeremiah continued toprophesy to the tiny remnant in Jerusalem;and in the seventh chapter of Jeremiah, hetold these Judahites that because of theirsin, God would abandon Jerusalem.

“Therefore will I do unto this house, which is called by my name, wherein yetrust, and unto the place which I gaveto you and to your fathers, as I havedone to Shiloh.”

----- Jeremiah 7:14

6

Heirs of The Promise

Page 7: Heirs of the Promise - christiansfortruth.com...bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac; and I will estab-lish my covenant with him for an ever-lasting covenant,

Shiloh was the place of the Ark of theCovenant, which God had turned over intothe hands of the Philistines, because of thesin of Israel.

In Kings and Chronicles we have anoth-er 100 years of the history of the Judahkingdom, a history of continuance of sin, some revivals, but always turning awayfrom the God of Israel. During that time,Assyria's power declined, and she lost con-trol over much of her empire, and Babylongrew. The Judahites remaining atJerusalem made a peace treaty with theking of Babylon, and they continued to sinagainst the God of Israel. They also tried toenlist the help of Egypt.

God sent Jeremiah to tell Judah thatBabylon would conquer them. They plannedto resist, but Jeremiah told them:

“And the Chaldeans shall come again, and fight against this city, and take it,and burn it with fire. Thus saith theLord; Deceive not yourselves, saying,The Chaldeans shall surely departfrom us; for they shall not depart. Forthough ye had smitten the whole armyof the Chaldeans that fight againstyou, and there remained but woundedmen among them, yet should they riseup every man in his tent, and burn thiscity with fire.”

----- Jeremiah 37:8-10

And it came to pass. Jerusalem wasdestroyed in about 595 B.C. and theJudahites were taken into Babylon for the70-year captivity prophesied by Jeremiah.

“In the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood by books the number of theyears, whereof the word of the Lordcame to Jeremiah the prophet, that he

would accomplish seventy years in thedesolations of Jerusalem.”

----- Daniel 9:2

All seems lost. What has happened tothe covenants? What has become of thegreat promises of God?

70 years later, Ezra did bring back fromBabylon to Jerusalem a handful ofJudahites to rebuild their city and the tem-ple. In Ezra 2 that number is given as lessthan 50,000.

“The whole congregation together wasforty and two thousand three hundredand threescore, Beside their servantsand their maids, of whom there wereseven thousand three hundred thirtyand seven: and there were among themtwo hundred singing men and singingwomen.”

----- Ezra 2:64-65

This remnant of Judah and Benjaminprovided the small Israelite communitythat existed in Jerusalem at the time Christwas born, 500 years later.

But what happened to the other tens ofmillions of Israelites who never returned toJerusalem? Are their descendants lost fromthe covenant promises of God?

We must now ask the same questionPaul asked 500 years later in Romans 11:

". . .Hath God cast away his people?"Paul answered, "God forbid; for I alsoam an Israelite of the seed of Abraham,of the tribe of Benjamin. God hath notcast away His people which Heforeknew."

So the question boils down to this: Whatdid happen to the millions, yes millions, of

7

Israelites who were driven out of Palestine700 years before Christ, and where werethey, if they existed at all, at the time Pauluttered his statement of confidence in God'skeeping His promises to Israel?

Can we find out what happened to them,so that their descendants can be identifiedin the worldtoday?

For an answer to that question, we aregoing to call upon E. Raymond Capt, a Biblestudent and Biblical archaeologist fromCalifornia. Mr. Capt has traveled and stud-ied extensively in Europe and the Mideast. He lectures on the Dead Sea Scrolls, on thepyramids of Egypt and on other archeologi-cal subjects. Mr. Capt is the author of TheGreat Pyramid Decoded, The Glory of theStars, Stonehenge and Druidism, KingSolomon's Temple, Jacob's Ladder andAbrahamic Covenant.

An Interview withE. Raymond Capt

Emry: As a minister, I know there is anabundance of prophesy concerning the des-tiny of Israel. But there is no Bible historyof this portion of Israel referred to in 2Kings 17:6 — In the ninth year of Hoshea, the king of Assyria took Samaria and car-ried Israel away into Assyria, and placedthem in Halah, and in Habor by the river ofGozan, and in the cities of the Medes.

So Bible history of this major part ofIsrael ends here. And yet the prophets andthe New Testament promise an increase innumbers, great blessings, and an eventualrestoration.

With the passing of 2,500 years sincethis Assyrian captivity, one might think

that all hope of tracing these Israelites islost. Ray, can archeology answer this ques-tion?

Capt: Yes, Pastor Emry, it has. Duringthe last hundred years a number of archeo-logical teams have been working in theMiddle East. They have unearthed andpublished the original contemporaryaccounts of the Assyrians, who took theIsraelites captive. It is from these recordsthat vital clues have come to light. In fact, these records are found in the form ofcuneiform tablets. These tablets were foundat Nineveh in 1900 and published in 1930.However, their relevance to Israel was over-looked then, because they were found incomplete disorder and amongst about 1,400other texts

The tablets were Assyrian reports, datedabout 707 B.C.. They describe the activitiesof the people called "Gamira," who lived inthe land of "Gamir." The descriptions ofGamir described the area in which theIsraelites had been placed just a few yearsearlier.

8

Heirs of The Promise

One tablet stated that when the king ofUrartu came into the land of Gamir, hisarmy was routed, as the Gamira counter-attacked, entered the land of Urartu, andkilled their commanders.

Assyrian Captivities

"In the ninth year of Hoshea, the kingof Assyria took Samaria, and carriedIsrael away into Assyria, and placedthem in Halah and in Habor by theriver of Gozan, and in the cities of theMedes."

2 Kings 17:6

The first archaeological evidence toestablish a chronological link in the con-tacts between Assyria and Israel are foundon inscriptions on the side of a limestonestele found at Nimrud, known as the "BlackObelisk." The stone was inscribed with therecords of Shalmaneser the third and anillustration of the Israelite king Jehu bring-ing tribute to the Assyrian king. An inscrip-tion above the illustration says: "This isJehu (Iaua), the son of Khumri (Omri)."

Omri in Hebrew begins with the conso-nant, "Agin," formerly called "Gayin" whichwas pronounced with a guttural "H," that is"Gh" or "Kh." The Israelites would havenaturally pronounced Omri as "Ghomri"which became "Khumri" in Assyrian.

As this inscription was executed nearlya century before the captivity of Israel, weknow now the reason secular historiansfound no mention of the exiled Israelites inancient records. It was simply because theAssyrians who took the Israelites captivedid not call them by that name. Historiansare now aware of the fact that the Gamirawere the same people, who, about 30 yearslater, during the reign of Esarhaddon, kingof Assyria, again were called Gimira.(Notice the slight changes in spelling).

We find in another and later Assyriantablet that in the second year of the reign ofthis same king, which would be about 679B.C., the Gimira, under a leader named"Teuspa," sought freedom by moving north;but the Assyrian army pursued and defeat-ed them in the upper Euphrates district.Nevertheless, they reported a large numberof the Israelites escaped to the shores of theBlack Sea.

The Greeks also recorded the sameactivity including an invasion of Sardis, thecapital of Lydia, in 645 B.C. In their recordsthey refer to the Gamira as "Kimmerioi,"which we translate into English as"Cimmerian."

About 600 B.C. the Lydians drove theGamira, or Cimmerians, out of Asia Minor,

where they settled in the Carpathianregions west of the Black Sea. We find themcalled in the second book of Esdras, the peo-ple of Ar-Sareth. 2 Esdras 13:40-44

We now also know what happened to thelarger body of Gamira or Israelites, that didnot escape the Assyrians. They formed analliance with Esarhaddon, the king, whenhe came under attack of the Medes and thePersians.

This treaty allowed the Israelites toestablish colonies in Sacasene in the northand Bactria in the east. With absolutely nohelp from the Israelites, Assyria fell in 612B.C. Soon the Israelites themselves cameunder attack by the Medes.

Now those that had settled in Sacasenemoved north through the Dariel Pass intothe steppe regions of south Russia. Therethey became known by the Greek name,"Scythians."

The Israelites that had settled inBactria were forced north and east, and inthe records of the Persians they were calledMassagetae and Sakka.

Archeology has solved two of the great-est archeological problems: First, what hap-pened to the hundreds of thousands ofIsraelites who disappeared south of theCaucasus; and second, what was the originof the Cimmerians and the mysteriousnomadic tribes, known as Scythians, whosuddenly appeared north of the Caucasus— both at the same time in history. Theywere one and the same people. They wereIsraelites. Now may I point out what theBible has to say concerning these same peo-ple:

“For lo, I will command, and I will siftthe house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall

not the least grain fall upon the earth.”----- Amos 9:9

Our history books pick up the story atthis point, recording the westward migra-tions of the Scythians, as they came intocollision with the Cimmerians, who hadearlier settled west of the Black Sea. Theirkinship lost over the centuries, the ensuingbattles forced the Cimmerians west andnorth to become the Celts, Gauls, andCimbri. By the end of the fourth centuryB.C., the Scythians had established them-selves as the great and prosperous kingdomof Scythia.

Later, the Sarmatians, these were amixed, non- Israelitish people of Iranianorigin. They in turn drove the Scythiansnorthwest to the shores of the Baltic Sea. Atthis time in history, we find the Romansintroduced the name "Germans" in place ofthe name Scythians, in order not to confusethe Scythians with the Sarmatians, whonow occupied Scythia. Germanus, being theLatin name for "genuine," indicates theGermans were the genuine Scythians.

During this time the Celts were expand-ing in all directions from central Europe. Some of the Celts invaded Italy and sackedRome in 390 B.C. Another group movedback into Asia Minor, in 280 B.C., and the

Greeks called them "Galatians," as they didanother group of Celts that had settled inGaul, or modern France. This also indicatesthat Paul's letters to the Galatians werewritten to his kinsmen Israelites, or at leastdescendants of the earlier Galatians.

Some of the Celts moved into Spain andbecame known as Iberes, the Gaelic namefor "Hebrews." Others poured into Britainto form the bedrock of the British race.Later, the Iberes moved into Ireland asScots, and later into Northern Britain toestablish the nation of Scotland.

Your history books also record theGermanic tribes breaking up into manydivisions — the Angles, Saxons, Jutes,Danes, and Vikings, to name just a few.Other Germanic tribes later poured into thelands vacated by the Celts and establishedthe Gothic nations of the Vandals,Lombards, Franks, Burgundians, and oth-ers.

The so-called "lost tribes of Israel" real-ly, were never lost. They only lost theiridentity as they migrated westward overthe centuries from the land of their captivi-ty.

(End of interview with Capt)

Pastor Emry: And there you have it,my friends. Mr. Capt has given us ananswer to our question: "What happened tothe millions of Israelites who were dis-persed out of old Canaanland 7 centuriesbefore Christ, and who never returned?

They migrated onto the continent ofEurope and were the ancestors of the white,

European race. And in answering our onequestion about Israel's disappearance, Mr.Capt has given us the key to several othermysteries of world history.

Mr. Capt has revealed to us why it wasthese people of Europe who became thegreat nations, and who were blessed by Godabove all other nations, not only with fertileland and abundance from the seas, but witharts, science, literature, inventions. and dis-covery.

God bestowed upon that one race almostevery invention and discovery that hasimproved man's condition and lot upon theearth. Certainly. God made these offspringof Abraham a blessing to all the families ofthe earth.

Mr. Capt has answered another questionwhich is often asked of ministers, but sel-dom answered:

"Why, of all the people of the earth, hasit been only this white Caucasian race, these so-called 'Gentiles,' who have claimedJesus Christ as their God, and who havetaken the Bible as the foundation of theirreligion?"

The answer — the truth which is avoid-ed and even denied by the clergy — is sim-ple. These people are the Israelites, thechildren of Abraham, God's chosen people. And that explains why every true gospelpreacher and missionary for Jesus Christfor over 1,900 years has been of this onerace. They are dispersed Israel, fulfillingBible prophecy even while blindness in partis upon them, blindness of their own identi-ty as the Chosen of God.

Biblical promises have become historicalfacts.

Heirs of The Promise

Page 12: Heirs of the Promise - christiansfortruth.com...bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac; and I will estab-lish my covenant with him for an ever-lasting covenant,

In the Old Testament God had promisedto regather divorced Israel unto Himself:

“My sheep wandered through all themountains, and upon every high hill:yea, my flock was scattered upon all theface of the earth, and none did searchor seek after them. For thus saith theLord God; Behold I, even I, will bothsearch my sheep, and seek them out.”

----- Ezekiel 34:6,11

Jesus made it plain He was the instru-ment of Israel's return to God:

“For the Son of man is come to seek andto save that which was lost.”

----- Luke 19:10

“But he answered and said, I am notsent but unto the lost sheep of the houseof Israel.”

----- Matthew 15:24

The word "lost" appears 13 times in theNew Testament in relation to Israel. TheGreek word means "put away and pun-ished." So Jesus was saying in Matthew15:24, "I am not sent but unto the put awayand punished house of Israel." In Matthew10:6, Jesus instructed His disciples to go to

"the lost sheep of the house of Israel."

In Luke 1, Zacharias the priest, who wasJohn the Baptist's father, said that Jesuscame to redeem His people and ". . . To per-form the mercy promised to our [Israel]fathers, and to remember his holycovenant; The oath which he sware toour father Abraham."

Luke 1:72, 73.

Paul, an Israelite, wrote to Israelites inthe dispersion in Galatia:

“When the fullness of the time wascome, God sent forth his Son, made of awoman, made under the law, to redeemthem that were under the law. . . .”

----- Galatians 4:4-5

Only the Israelites had been under thelaw. Romans 15 and verse 8 says:

“. . . . . Jesus Christ was a minister forthe circumcision for the truth of God, toconfirm the promises made unto thefathers.”

----- Romans 15:8

These promises, as we have seen, wereof great national development, a greatincrease in numbers, blessings of the earthand of the sea, that God would be their God,and they would be His people.

After the death and resurrection ofJesus Christ, His disciples carried the goodnews to dispersed Israel in Europe, begin-ning what we know as the Christian era.For 1500 more years Israel remained inEurope, continuing to grow in numbers asGod had promised their Fathers, Abraham,Isaac, and Jacob.

Then God began to give them inven-tions, one of which was the printing press, which made the Bible available to all of thepeople, bringing with it the Age of

The New World

Enlightenment, the Reformation, and theAge of Discovery.

A new continent to the west, a NewWorld, was discovered by Columbus andother explorers. Persecution of Christiansin Europe began a migration to the NewWorld, that began as a trickle and laterbecame a flood.

2,500 years before that, while Israel wasstill in Palestine, God had told King Davidin 2 Samuel:

“Moreover I will appoint a place for mypeople Israel, and will plant them, thatthey may dwell in a place of their own,and move no more; neither shall thechildren of wickedness afflict them anymore, as before time.”

----- 2 Samuel 7:10

The prophet Isaiah and others who hadwritten of Israel's regathering made it plainIsrael would be regathered into a new landas Christian believers.

“And he shall set up an ensign for thenations, and shall assemble the out-casts of Israel, and gather together thedispersed of Judah from the four cor-ners of the earth.”

----- Isaiah 11:12

Verses one through ten identify thatEnsign as Jesus Christ, and verse 14 indi-cates their regathering would be toward thewest.

"But they shall fly upon the shoulders ofthe Philistines toward the west".

Psalm 72 and Zechariah 9 describethat land of Israel's regathering as a landbetween two seas, and one that would runto the ends of the earth.

In Hosea 2:14, God had prophesied tocast-off Israel,

"Behold, I will allure her, and bringher into the wilderness, and speak com-fortably unto her."

Our pilgrim fathers, who were ChristianIsraelites from Europe and knew God'spromises, called this North American conti-nent "The Wilderness" and "NewCanaanland." They said they had comehither to establish the Kingdom of God.

God turned Israel from Antichrists inEurope, and God took them one of a city andtwo of a family, and He brought them toZion.

“Turn, O backsliding children, saiththe Lord; for I am married unto you:and I will take you one of a city, andtwo of a family, and I will bring you toZion: And I will give you pastorsaccording to mine heart, which shallfeed you with knowledge and under-standing.”

----- Jeremiah 3:14, 15

He gave them Christian pastors who fedthem with knowledge and understanding. In the early histories, they called them-selves, "this wandering race of Jacobites, "avine out of Egypt", and "the seed ofAbraham." They named their children withIsrael names, and God blessed them abovetheir fathers in Europe.

America is that new land, New Israel.America is the nation born in a day on July4, 1776, exactly the prophesied 2520 yearsafter Israel had gone into the Assyrian cap-tivity. In America God made a little one athousand, and a small a strong nation:

“A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I theLord will hasten it in his time.”

It is here that is fulfilled the promise toJoseph, "blessed of the Lord be his land. . ." Deuteronomy 33:13. It is in Americathat the wilderness and the solitary placewas glad for them, and the desert hasrejoiced and blossomed as the rose Isaiah35:1. It is in the North American wildernessthat waters have broken out, and streamsin the desert Isaiah 35:6. America isHepzibah and Beulah land Isaiah 62:4;America truly is God's Country.

The heathen look at America and say,"Certainly they are the seed which the Lordhath blessed" Isaiah 49:6. America is thenation from which the light of God's Wordhas gone to the ends of the earth. Isaiah49:6. You who are descendants of the peoplewe have traced in the Bible and in historyare Israelites, heirs according to the prom-ise, and the Bible is about you and yourrace. Do not take what you have read light-ly. True to His promise to our fathers,Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God ofIsrael has redeemed us with His own blood. He has kept His Word to our fathers. Hewill most certainly keep His promise withus. their children, of the Kingdom of Christupon the earth.

I believe the time has come when God is

casting down all lies, exposing the falseprophets, and revealing the Truth to HisIsrael people. The key to understanding theBible is the truth that we are Israelites, redeemed by Jesus Christ, heirs of thepromise. Abraham's children.

Addendum

Today the great Israel nation of Americais surrounded and invaded by the socialist-Humanist Antichrist forces. The wicked ofthe earth, who are the enemies of JesusChrist, have grown strong and arrogant inour land. They have infiltrated our schools, the news media, even churches and govern-ment in their attempt to keep you in igno-rance of your identity as Israelites. Theyare attempting to steal your heritage thatthey may conquer America and take ruleover the whole earth.

But God Almighty has decreed thedestruction of those who hate Jesus Christand His true Israel People. In a last battlethey shall be defeated, we shall be deliv-ered, and the earth will be prepared for thereturn of Jesus Christ and the greatKingdom Age. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.Amen.

The historic moment so dramaticallyillustrated above was the beginning of thefulfillment of the Lord's promise, "I willtake you one of a city, and two of a fam-ily, and I will bring you to Zion; And Iwill give you pastors according to mineheart, which shall feed you with knowl-edge and understanding."

Jeremiah 3:14-15

Between 1620 and 1870 over 45 millionAnglo-Saxon, Scandinavian, Germanic, andother Israelites emigrated to America. Godgave them Christian Pastors. God keepsHis promises to Israel.
