We’re Jason
& Katrina
We met in 2005 – online – before it was cool – We maintained a long distance relationship for years. At the time it was hard to be apart but looking back it was a blessing. The distance showed us how much we truly loved each other. When we got married in 2010 it was very obvious we had made the right decision. Our home was and still is filled with fun, calm and joy. We truly make each other better.
In 2014 we decided to start a family but we soon realized that things
were not going to go as we had planned. After multiple years and multiple miscarriages we decided to look into adoption. We always knew we wanted to adopt at some point, but now we can see God was working in our lives through that hardship. Adoption has always been our path.
Our daily lives are pretty normal, but fun. We enjoy experimenting with new recipes for supper and afternoon walks around the park. We like watching Jeopardy and play along. It’s a good experience…except for when Jason cheats!!!! We spend a good amount of time at the movies; our interests are usually split between comedies and Disney. There always seems to be music of all kinds playing in our home; from rock to pop to older country, we love it all. We also like hockey, football and racing, and make it to a few games and races yearly. We love day trips such as the zoo or museums and even to Civil War reenactments.
Getting to know us…..
Katrina comes from eastern Pennsylvania and has a younger brother, sister-in-law and niece. Her parents separated when Katrina was very young, but they and her step parents get along. Her family is small, but they are all very excited to watch our family grow!
Katrina has a Bachelor’s degree in Youth Ministry, but now
works in law enforcement as an emergency services dispatcher. Katrina is a morning person, and is cheery with everyone she meets. She has a caring heart for children, a patient disposition and is a great listener. She loves nature, likes crafting and can recite almost every line from the 'Gilmore Girls' by heart.
I love that Katrina has a detail-oriented mind, a kind word for
every situation, the ability to calm anyone down, and how she holds nothing back for those people that are fortunate to be loved by her. I think she would make a great mother to your child, and would help them to grow up to be the best adult possible.

History
Jason grew up as an only child in Ontario, Canada, but his childhood was anything but lonely. He was born
into a very close family with lots of aunts and uncles and cousins on both sides. His family is one of the most open and genuine families I’ve ever met. They are so excited that we are taking this next step and can’t wait to meet the newest member of their family.
Jason has his Bachelors in History/Political Science and works for a local propane distributor. He works very hard and loves what he does. That is just one thing that I love about him! He enjoys trains, sports and just being goofy. He could eat pizza every day but claims he doesn’t mind me making sure he gets his daily dose of vegetables. He loves to read and is one of the smartest people I know. He has a kind,
patient spirit and I am so excited to see him with his new son or daughter. He is amazingly understanding and sturdy and also giving and loving. He will always strive to be the best dad he can be, because he always tries to be the best man he can be.

Travelling to both Pennsylvania and Canada often is important to us. We work hard to stay in touch with our families even though we live hours away. Phone calls are daily and we usually visit Pennsylvania and Canada at least twice per year. Both of our families visit us in Ohio for Christmas. It is crucial that our parents are involved greatly in their grandchild's life. It will also be exciting to introduce our child to Canadian culture. We can’t wait for them to meet Canadian friends and family, and to celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving and Canada Day. We also can’t wait to show them Canadian food and to show them what a beautiful country it is. We look forward to providing them dual citizenship to both Canada and the United States.
We love where we live! We live in a townhouse in eastern Ohio, just a few blocks from our downtown! We have a beautiful tree in the backyard, next to our patio. There are lots of things to see, do and learn! We enjoy the small hometown feel, yet we can be in Cleveland or Columbus in a short time. Our community is very safe, clean and diverse, which makes it a great place to raise a child. We also have many close friends nearby, and because they are so close they have become more like family. We are involved in a local non-denominational church. This church is good sized and has an amazing program for kids of all ages. It is a safe and secure place for a child to learn and grow. It is so nice to be a part of a church that truly wants to better children and help them grow into strong, prosperous adults.

Jason’s Family
We are so looking forward to being parents. We can’t wait to take trips and share experiences with them. It is our dream to expand and to grow as a family. We want to experience things with our children that even we have never done. We want to take them to the Grand Canyon, Yosemite National Park, as well as the ocean and Disney World. We want them to experience both nature and big city life. Almost more than that, we want a fun and adventurous everyday life. In the everyday is where family is made. We look forward to helping with homework and projects, or making ice cream runs and playing on the swings in the park.
We promise to love your precious baby with everything we
have. We want nothing less than to provide a safe, happy family where your child feels loved and cherished. We will provide a home where your child feels secure and has room to grow and be themselves. We want you to know that we will strive to lead by example. We will do whatever is possibly to put our family unit first and ourselves last.
We want to be honest with our child about their adoption story.
It is so important that he or she know where they came from. We are committed to openness with you and promise to send letters and pictures regularly if you wish.
We are excited for this next chapter of our lives to begin and
we would be so fortunate if your child was a part of it!
