Help for the Holidays Central Elementary and the Kids Care Club genuinely care about our students and families. We recognize that some families may be experiencing difficult economic times. During the Thanksgiving and winter holiday seasons, we would like to assist any Central families in need. There are two opportunities for assistance: Thanksgiving meal: Your family will receive a box (from the local rotary) with canned and packaged food (such as stuffing, gravy, potatoes, etc.) a grocery store gift card. NOTE: All information will be kept confidential. Holiday Gifts for Kids: All of the children in your family can be a recipient of holiday gifts. Gifts will be unwrapped and include a gift receipt. Holiday Gifts may be picked up at the Central main office during school hours from December 21-22. NOTE: All information will be kept confidential. GROWING TOGETHER CLUB Purpose: During this after-school group- students will play, create,

and participate in activities to socialize and establish friendships.

Who: 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students When: The Growing Together Club will meet on the following

days: November 11, December 10, January 7, February 4, March 4, April 8, and May 6 from 3:15-4:15 p.m. (If there is a time when your child is unable to attend, please let us know by phone, email, or note.)

Calling all 3rd, 4th and 5th graders....

We need your help to make a difference!! What is Kids Care Club? Kids Care Club is a group of young people who want to help others in their community and beyond. There are Kids Care Clubs all over the world. At Central~ teacher and parent volunteers work with the children on projects that help to develop compassion and social responsibility. What kind of projects do Kids Care Clubs do? We do projects that help the homeless, elderly, sick, and lonely. In the past, Kids Care Club has collected food and clothing for various drives, made cards for patients in nursing homes, collected for holiday toy drives, and made blankets for children at Children’s Hospital. How often does the Central Kids Care Club meet? Central’s Kids Care Club meets once a month from 3:15-4:15 in the cafeteria on the following days: November 24, December 17, January 28, February 25, March 25, April 29, May 20. (Pickup is on the side of the building.)
