What We Do / Lo que hacemos
The Music Ministry enhances our liturgies with appropriate and inspiring music to encourage participation of the faithful assembled to praise and adore at the Eucharistic Banquet. We serve our parish through traditional, contemporary,
and Hispanic song selections for Sunday masses, funerals, and weddings. Individual groups come
together to serve our parish for Feasts and Solemnities.
Music ministry members range from professional and trained musicians to those who can carry a
tune and learn their part in the songs.
Vocalists and Instrumentalists from novice to professional are always welcome.
El ministerio de mu sica realza nuestras liturgias con mu sica apropiada e inspiradora para
fomentar la participacio n de los fieles reunidos a alabar y adorar en el Banquete Eucarí stico. Servimos a nuestra parroquia a trave s de selecciones de canciones tradicionales, contempora neas en espan ol para misas dominicales, funerals, y bodas. Grupos
individuales se reu nen para servir a nuestra parroquia para Fiestas y Solemnidades
Los miembros del ministerio de mu sica incluye desde mu sicos profesionales y capacitados hasta
aquellos que pueden llevar una melodí a y aprender su parte en las canciones.

Children and Youth Ensemble
We are reimagining and expanding our ministry involving children and youth!
We would like to grow into an ensemble of singers and instrumentalists from K-12. This group encourages participation in the sacred liturgy, while nurturing musical ability and
education and fostering a love and enjoyment for a wide variety of sacred and contemporary music. This group will rehearse and provide
music at masses and other select events during the school year.
Cantors and Psalmists / Cantores y salmistas
The role of the cantor is to invite and engage the congregation in enthusiastic praise and worship during the sung parts of the liturgy. The psalmist
proclaims the responsorial psalm during the mass (after the first reading). This is sometimes
done with a proclamation (speaking) and sometimes as an acclamation (sung).
El papel del cantor es invitar e involucrar a la congregacio n en la alabanza y adoracio n
entusiastas durante las partes cantadas de la liturgia. El salmista proclama el salmo responsorial durante
la misa (despue s de la primera lectura). Esto a veces se hace con una proclamacio n (hablando) y a veces como una aclamacio n (cantada).
Chancel Choir
This choir blends complex melodies and four-part harmonies in a broad range of musical styles from chant to choral arrangements. While traditional music is the focus, some contemporary selections are included and are accompanied by piano, or-gan, and guitar. We hope to increase the number of singers as well as the number of instruments
that accompany these styles of music.
Contemporary Ensemble
This diverse group provides sweet harmonies in musical styles ranging from gospel to contempo-rary Christian rock, with occasional utilization of traditional selections. The vocals are accompa-nied by piano, guitar, bass guitar, and drums.
Songwriters are welcome as this group often uti-lizes selections composed by its members.
Coro de Todos los Santos
Este grupo expresa la diversidad cultural de nues-tra parroquia a trave s del canto y la mu sica; incor-porando una gran variedad de ritmos, intrumen-tos y voces de los distintos paí ses de habla his-pana. Tambie n sirve de apoyo a los demás coros de la parroquia en celebraciones bilingu es que hacen crecer juntos en la fe y unirons como co-munidad. Personas de cualquier paí s y edad son bienvenidas a participar con sus dones musicales
