February was a busy month for Helping Angels and we enjoyed every minute! Some good news from Mamawethu House of Safety is that Mark was reunited with his grandmother and is now living in Springbok, and although Jellie and her family will miss him very much we are also very happy for him!! Little Sam is still at Mamawethu and growing strong! Thanks to the following people that helped to make dreams a reality this month: 1 Feb: Mikro Primary School sponsored milk, veggies and meat that we delivered to Colleen’s Place of Hope 2 Feb: Sonja, Bronwyn and their book club that donated kitchen items to House El Roi 13 Feb: Valentine’s Pool Party for Colleen’s Place of Hope. Thanks to Jan Kriel for sponsoring the venue, Elizabeth for the party cakes, Ellis Function Hire for the chairs and tables and Moshe Adir for sponsoring the jumping castle. 16 Feb: Extreem Kwizeen donated 460 liters of soup that was distributed to Mamawethu

News & Thank you's!

February was a busy month for Helping Angels and we enjoyed every minute!

Some good news from Mamawethu House of Safety is that Mark was reunited with his grandmother and is now living in Springbok, and although Jellie and her family will miss him very much we are also very happy for him!! Little Sam is still at Mamawethu and growing strong!

Thanks to the following people that helped to make dreams a reality this month:

1 Feb: Mikro Primary School sponsored milk, veggies and meat that we delivered to Colleen’s Place of Hope

16 Feb: Extreem Kwizeen donated 460 liters of soup that was distributed to Mamawethu House of Safety, House of Hope soup kitchen, House El Roi and Kuils River Police Station

21 Feb: We visited the children from Bottelary farms and served them a meal with snacks. Thanks to Nicole, Curt and Lance that volunteered, thanks Curt for sponsoring rolls and party packs for the kids!

27 Feb: Dina hosted a Helping Angels fundraiser for House El Roi, thanks Dina for the amazing work you do!

Upcoming Projects - Mar & Apr 2010

1. Pensioners Project, Brooklyn – 13 Mar 2010

We will hand out soup donated by Extreem Kwizeen to 100 needy pensioners in Reyger Court, Brooklyn. We need donations of bread and volunteers to help with the handouts.

2. Easter Egg Day – 3 Apr 2010

We will hand out food supplies and goods with Easter eggs at Mamawethu House of Safety, House of Hope soup kitchen , Masigcine Children’s home, Colleen’s House of Hope, Hernus Kriel old age home, etc

Any donations of Easter eggs, food supplies and baby goods to make this day special for all our charities would be very helpful

3. Bottelary Farm Project – 18 Apr 2010

We will visit the Bottelary farm children and serve them a hot meal and snacks. We need donations of foldaway tables, netting, spoons and forks, any food donations, toys like Frisbees, soccer balls, etc to help with this project.
