Here Are the Biggest Android Wear Challengers to the Apple Watch This

TAG Heuer ConnectedAt $1,500, the TAG Heuer Connected is the most expensive Android Wear watch available. It’s also the most stylish, resembling TAG Heuer’s Carrera line of mechanical watches. Its technical specifications are roughly on par with other Android Wear devices, but it boasts a sapphire crystal display and titanium casing. If they’re willing to pay an additional $1,500, Connected owners can trade their device in after two years for a standard TAG Heuer mechanical watch.

The Connected is unlikely to sell in large numbers, but it gives Android Wear a compelling alternative to the more expensive Apple Watch models.

Huawei Watch

The Huawei Watch is far more affordable than TAG Heuer’s Connected, but is still relatively expensive for an Android Wear device. It starts at $349 but can cost as much as $799 depending on the configuration. It also has a sapphire face but is made of stainless steel. Moto 360The second-generation Moto 360 will probably be the default Android Wear device for those interested in Alphabet’s smartwatch platform. Compared to rivals, it’s far more customizable. There are three different versions of the device (two sizes aimed at men, one for women) and several different colors, in addition to a wide variety of bands. It starts at $299 but can retail for as much as $449.

Asus ZenWatch 2

LG Watch Urbane

The LG Watch Urbane made its debut in May, making it the oldest device on this list. The Korean tech giant was set to update the Urbane this month with LTE connectivity but cancelled the second edition for unspecified reasons. Still, it remains a perfectly capable Android Wear device.

The Watch Urbane is offered in only one size and in two different colors. It starts at $349, the same price as Apple’s entry-level Apple Watch Sport.

Fossil Q Founder

Fossil’s Q Founder should make its debut before the end of November. It’s available in only one size and retails for $275. It will be the first Android Wear device from the watchmaker.
