Osaka covers 223.00 km2 of land and is 42 kilometers away from Kyoto.

Osaka: Second largest metropolitan region in the world. Historically it was a merchant city, and in 645 it was the capital of Japan, the Shogunate castle is a landmark until today.

Kyoto: The imperial capital of Japan for a thousand years. Has the title one of the best preserved cities of Japan: It’s gone through earthquakes and World War II, but its architecture and arts have survived. Many sites in Kyoto are UNESCO world heritage sites. The main industry is information technology (home to many technological companies such as Nintendo)

• Location: Osaka

• Osaka Castle is situated at Chuo-ku Osaka, Japan and

it is one of Japan's most

famous landmark. In

sixteenth century, the castle

played a vital role in the unification of Japan during

Azuchi-Momoyama period

B) KOBE MOSQUE

• Location: Kobe

• Kobe Mosque is the first

mosque in Japan, built in

1928 in Nakayamate Dori, Chuo-Ku which had

suffered with bombings and earthquake

throughout the century.

C) PANASONIC MUSEUM

• Location: Osaka

• The spirit and legacy of Konosuke Matsushita are

revealed in the exhibits and

audio/visual presentations.

Many Matsushita products

are also displayed, including double cluster

sockets, television sets, and

washing machines.

A) DENDEN TOWN

• Location: Osaka

• Once a small district with shops

selling used clothes and

second-hand books,

Nipponbashi DENDEN Town

grew into one of the largest

commercial districts in Osaka,

packed with electrical

equipment discount stores,

within just few decades.

B) OSAKA MUSEUM OF HISTORY

• Location: Osaka

• The museum is designed to give visitors a multi-

dimensional experience of

the 1,400-year history of

Osaka, with life-size

reconstructions, scale models, and key

photographs and movies.

C) ) Ninenzaka & Sannenzaka Street, Kyoto

• Location: Kyoto

• The name refers to the two main streets of

the area: Ninen-zaka and Sannen-zaka,

literally ‘Two-Year Hill’ and ‘Three-Year Hill’

(the years referring to the ancient imperial

years when they were first laid out).

• These two charming streets are lined with

old wooden houses, traditional shops and

restaurants.

• A lot of souvenir shops and traditional

teahouses and restaurants along the way.

• Location: Kyoto

• It is famous for its thousands of

vermilion torii gates, which

straddle a network of trails

behind its main buildings. The

trails lead into the wooded

forest of the sacred Mount

Inari, which stands at 233

meters and belongs to the

shrine grounds.

D) FUSHIMI INARI TAISHA SHRINE

• Location: Kyoto

• Toei Kyoto Studio Park is the only

theme park in Japan where you

can observe the filming of period

dramas (jidaigeki films). Here you

can walk freely around the Toei

Kyoto Studio film set. This set depicts

a street from the Edo period, and is

used to shoot more than 200 films

per year. Enjoy the atmosphere of

ancient Japan by taking in a ninja

show maybe even dressing up as a

geisha or samurai

as Zōgan aka "Marquetry" (inlaying

pieces of shaped gold and silver

into a metal based template) and

Mokuhanga (Wood block printing).

Fremantle: Fremantle is a major Australian port city in Western Australia, located at the mouth of the Swan River. Fremantle Harbour serves as the port of Perth, the state capital.
