The NASPA FL Drive-In took place at the University
of Tampa this year on October 6th to the 8th. The first
day of the conference consisted of the case study
competition where second year masters students Ashlie
Baty and Michelle Robinson took home the first place
prize.
The second day officially kicked off the conference.
There were a number of different sessions offered, ranging
from igniting leadership in first year students to searching
for jobs after graduate school. Amma Marfo, Student
Program Coordinator for the Oglesby Union at FSU, also
presented a session entitled “Tweetworking: Lessons
Learned from 52 Minds in 52 Weeks”.
Later the awards ceremony took place where FSU
was recognized as one top five farthest traveled schools
and top five of most participants. Mackenzie Streit was
named “Doctoral Student of Year” and Amber Hampton
was named “New Professional of the Year.” FSU Student
Activities Center was also awarded for "Programs of
Distinction" for Seminole Sensation Week.
Congratulations to all the winners.
Until next year...
