While the primary focus of the HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed

Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival has been Purebred Arabian horse racing, the Festival also uses various platforms around the world at non-racing events to further the cause of this noble creature. The Purebred Arabian horse is not only a part of the UAE’s heritage and culture but many nations in the region have a special place in their hearts for the Arabian horse. The Arab Travel Market, which is held in Dubai annually for over two decades now, is one such event where the Festival has been participating since its inception.

This event is a meeting point of nearly 20,000 visitors both from the Arab re-gion and from the rest of the world and the Festival’s presence has been highly successful.

As we have said earlier, the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) feels proud to support the HH

races and the Purebred Arabian horses showcased their skills on the snow race tracks It was a second successive win for Alibaba Del Sol on White Turf and a Dutch doublein the Festival’s Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Listed Cup in St Moritz

Dutch trainer Karin van den Bos completed a 1-2 finish for Dutch owner LangoeldWaterland while Alibaba Del Sol under Daniel Porcu won the Sheikh Zayed bin Sul-tan Al Nahyan Listed Cup for the second successive year

Bahrain joins the Festival

After UAE and Oman, Bahrain became the third nation in the region to host the Festival’s HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies World Championship race.

It was the fifth leg of the 2015 championship and Danish lady jockey Sabina Gam- melgaard on Mlolshan did the star turn at the Rashid Equestrian and Horse RacingClub in Bahrain

After Bahrain the Festival’s next stop was at the Casablanca-Anfa Racecourse in Mo- rocco where the 6th leg of Festival’s HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies World Championship race was run. Leading French professional lady jockey Justin Merciersteered Yakout Al Boraq to clinch a berth in the November finale of the Ladies Cham-pionship to be held in Abu Dhabi
