Welcome to our 3rd Online sale, a few life changes have taken place this past year. Our daughter, Cassidy graduated high school top of her class and has been attending the University of Victoria. Erin and I have adapted to becoming empty nesters, but definitely look forward to her visits home. Kath and Cliff became proud grandparents last March. Abby is an adorable delight in everyone’s day.

I am very proud of this year’s sale offering and have included three top cut heifers from our replacement pen. The heifers were weaned the last week of October and have been developed on rolled oats and grass hay. The 2 year old bulls spent the summer on grass and enjoyed this wonderful winter on screening pellets and free choice hay. The yearling bulls were weaned the first week of October and are fed screening pellets twice daily and have access to a forage blend of 10% alfalfa hay and 90% barley silage. As a group the yearling bulls have gained an average of 3.29 lbs/day. The bulls will be weighed and will have had a breeding soundness evaluation prior to the opening of the Online sale.

Animals sell under the suggested terms and conditions of the Canadian Angus Association. Settlement will be handled directly by Hi Low Angus. We recommend insuring your purchase. We will do our very best to look after your purchase but shit can happen here too! Our local insurance broker is Dave Jones of Long Lake insurance 306-638-3063 (office) 306-731-7388 (cell). Delivery of the bulls will begin in April and is free within 300 km. We will be happy to arrange other deliveries at cost. There will be a $3/head/day fee for bulls needing to stay here after May 1st.

We would also like to invite you to attend the 2016 Saskatchewan Angus Tour August 8th and 9th. We are excited to help host this event. One of the days buses will head northeast of Moose Jaw with four herd tours including here at Hi Low. The other day will be herd tours south of Moose Jaw. This will be a great opportunity to visit with many who share our passion for good Angus cattle. Also it will be a great way to preview a number of this area’s 2017 sales offerings and the mommas who raise them.

Basin Excitement is now deceased and there is a very limited quantity of semen left in Canada.

A direct son of Hoover Dam, Boulder will add eye appeal, stoutness and performance. Genex promotes him as to having flawless feet and leg structure. Boulder would be an outcross mating for females sired by SAV bloodlines of Final Answer, Bismarck and Net Worth.

Download is a outcross sire that will fit nicely into most everyone’s breeding program. His birth weight epd is 1.1 which is below the breed average and his weaning and yearling epd’s are well above the breed average. Lots of bull here. He has been tipping the scales hard from day one. He was born unassisted. He is extremely long and is very clean fronted. Many will dismiss him because of his birth weight. If your cows are larger framed he will definitely produce some steers that will push the scale hard at weaning as well.

18C’s dam is a straight Canadian bred cow. The sire is 34 year old Perryville Lancer 56P who was bred/owned by the late Ron Perry and owned by the late Pat McCall. If you are new to the business those names won’t mean much, but those of us who have been at this Purebred rodeo awhile will remember them as two great Angus promoters and breeders.
