VACANCY AND PAY-SCALE :The High Court of Gujarat invites ‘On-line Applications’, from the eligible candidates, for filling up a Total 767 vacancies, on the establishment of the Subordinate Courts in the State of Gujarat, by (Direct Recruitment) way of Competitive Examinations to the Post of Assistant in the Pay Matrix of ₨19,900-63,200/-.

Note : Payment of Fees through Challan (Offl ine) cannot be made after the specifi ed Expiry Date & Time.

(e) Candidates are advised to preserve the copy of the e-Receipt (Online) / Cash - Challan (Offl ine) till the conclusion of the Recruitment Process.

(f) Confi rmed ‘Online Application’, submitted by the Candidate, will be considered as VALID Application, only after he/she remits the Examination Fees, as required, in the State Bank of India through SBI e- Pay, before due time.

(g) Requisite Examination Fees, can be paid through either Mode i.e. Online (from 15/06/2018 to 14/07/2018) or Offl ine (Cash-Challan) (till the Challan Expiry Date) and the same shall be considered as VALID.

(h) Fees paid by any other mode, will NOT be accepted.(i) Fees once paid, shall NOT be Refunded OR shall NOT be Adjusted in

any subsequent Recruitment Process, under any circumstances.(j) No correspondence / communications / calls, should be made, to the

High Court, on this count.SCHEME OF EXAMINATION :(A) Elimination Test (Objective Type – MCQs) (100 Marks-2 Hours) :(1) Question Paper of Elimination Test shall consist of 100 Multiple Choice

Questions (MCQs), each of 1 Mark. For every wrong / multiple answer, there shall be Negative Marking of 0.33 Marks. Language of the Question Paper shall be English except Questions in Gujarati. Duration of the Elimination Test shall be 2 Hours.

(2) Syllabus of Elimination Test : (i) English Language (v) Current Affairs (ii) Gujarati Language (vi) Indian History and Geography (iii) General Knowledge (vii) Basics of Computer Applications (iv) Arithmetic (viii) Sports (ix) Analytical Reasoning (x) Mental Ability etc.(3) The Elimination Test may be conducted either at Ahmedabad or at any

District place/places as may be decided by the High Court, depending upon the number of Candidates applying.

(4) Candidates belonging to the Reserved Categories, i.e. SC, ST, SEBC & Differently Abled Persons [PH - only Orthopaedically disabled], shall

have to secure minimum 55% Marks and all the other Candidates shall have to secure minimum 60% Marks in the Elimination Test and only those qualifying, shall be called for the Main Written Examination (Descriptive Type).

(5) Marks obtained in the Elimination Test (Objective Type – MCQs) will not be considered for determining the merits, for preparing the Final Merit List.

(6) Evaluation of the OMR Sheets of the Elimination Test shall be evaluated on Computer, as per entries made in OMR Sheets. As the evaluation is done on the Computer by ‘Scanning’, thereby eliminating manual evaluation, ‘Rechecking’ or ‘Inspection’ of OMR Sheets, subsequent to Elimination Test, will not be entertained by the High Court.

(7) In case, large number of Candidate qualify in the Elimination Test, it will be open for the High Court to restrict the number of Candidates as deemed necessary, according to Merit.

(B) Main Written Examination (Descriptive Type)(60 Marks - 90 Minutes) :(1) The Candidates who qualify in the Elimination Test (Objective Type-

MCQs) will have to appear in the Main Written Examination (Descriptive Type) of 60 Marks (Duration : 90 Minutes). Language of the Question Paper shall be English. Answers to Questions may be given in English, if not instructed otherwise. Which would be conducted at Ahmedabad or at any other place(s) that may be decided by the High Court.

(2) Syllabus of Main Written Examination (Descriptive Type): (i) English Language (ii) Gujarati Language (iii) General Knowledge (iv) Basic Knowledge of Computer – Spreadsheet & Word Processing(3) Candidates belonging to the Reserved Categories, i.e. SC, ST, SEBC

& Differently Abled Persons [PH - only Orthopaedically disabled], shall have to secure minimum 45% Marks and all the other Candidates shall have to secure minimum 50% Marks in the Main Written Examination (Descriptive Type), in order to qualify for next stage of the Recruitment Process.

(4) In case, large number of Candidate qualify in the Main Written Examination (Descriptive Type), it will be open for the High Court to restrict the number of Candidates as deemed necessary, according to Merit.

(C) Practical / Skill Test (Typing Test) (40 Marks - 10 Minutes) :(1) The Candidates who qualify in the Main Written Examination (Descriptive

Type) will have to appear in the Typing Test of 40 Marks (Duration : 10 Minutes) on Computer (English and/or Gujarati as the case may be), at Ahmedabad or at any other place(s) that may be decided by the High Court.

(2) A Candidate shall have to secure minimum 40% Marks in the Practical / Skill Test (Typing Test), in order to qualify for next stage of the Recruitment Process.

(3) For Typing Test in Gujarati, the Candidates will be facilitated with ‘Gujarati Indic Input Tools’ (MS Offi ce Indic Version) fonts and they can use any of the following Keyboard/Layout :

(i) Gujarati Inscript (iv) Godrej Indica

(ii) Gujarati Typewriter (vi) Special Characters (iii) Gujarati Typewriter (G) (vii) Gujarati Terafont (v) Remington Indica Note: Candidates will not be allowed to use Gujarati Transliteration (Phonetic)fonts.DISQUALIFICATION FOR APPOINTMENT : No person shall be eligible for appointment to the service – (a) unless he/she is a citizen of India. (b) if he/she is dismissed from service by Central Government or any

State Government or U.Ts. or any High Court or Statutory or Local Authority.

(c) if he/she has been convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude or who is or has been permanently debarred or disqualifi ed by the High Court or the Union/State Public Service Commission or by any Recruiting or Examination Conducting Authority from appearing in Competitive

Examinations or Selections.(d) if he/she directly or indirectly infl uences the Recruiting Authority by any

means for his/her candidature.(e) if he is a man, has more than one wife living. And, if a woman, has

married a man already having another wife.(f) if he/she may be found in possession with any electronic gadget(s)

during any of the Examination / Test.HOW TO APPLY :(a) Before fi lling-up the ‘On-line Application’, Candidate is advised to

thoroughly read and understand the Detailed Advertisement and the Instructions therein and should ensure that he/she fulfi lls all the eligibility criteria and other norms mentioned above and that the particulars fi lled in by him/her are true and correct in all respects. In case, it is detected at any stage of Recruitment Process or even after Appointment, that a Candidate does/did not fulfi ll the eligibility criteria/ norms and/or that he/she has/had suppressed/twisted or truncated any material facts, his/her Candidature shall be liable to be Cancelled. If, any of these shortcomings is/are detected even after Appointment, his/her service will be liable to be terminated with immediate effect.

(b) Candidate should have his/her own/family member’s ‘registered’ Mobile Number and the same should be kept active during the entire Recruitment Process as SMS alerts for the various Tests are also likely to be sent on the said Mobile Number, registered in the ‘On-line Application’.

(c) Candidate should scan his/her photograph having 5 c.m. height and 3.6 c.m. of width (15kb) and signature having 2.5 c.m. height and 7.5 c.m. of width (15kb) in .jpg format for uploading the same at relevant space in the On-line Application.

(d) Steps for submitting On-line Application through the ‘OJAS’ Module :-(i) Fill-up all the Fields given in On-line Application including mandatory

Fields, carefully.(ii) ‘Save’ the On-line Application, by clicking ‘Save’ button.(iii) Thereafter, a new pop-up window will appear, displaying the ‘Application Number’, meaning thereby the Application is saved

successfully. Candidate shall, note down the entire string of the Application Number (e.g. HCG/201819/1/11111). Upon clicking ‘Show Application Preview’ Button, on-screen preview of the Application, would be displayed.

(iv) Thereafter, by entering Application Number and Date of Birth, upload scanned photograph and signature at relevant space on the application and ensure that, the uploaded ‘Photograph’ & ‘Signature’, are distinctly recognizable, after uploading. Note: Please ensure that the ‘Scanned Signature’ of the Candidate alone should be uploaded, as the same will be verifi ed by the High Court, at each stage, and if the same does not match with the signature of the Candidate, at the time of successive verifi cations during the Recruitment Process, his/her Candidature is likely to be rejected forthwith.

(v) If necessary, by using his/her Application Number and Date of Birth, a Candidate can edit his/her On-line Application through ‘Edit Application Button’ until his/her Application is Confi rmed by the Candidate.

(vi) After fi lling-up all the required/mandatory fi elds in the On-line Application, correctly and duly verifi ed by the Candidate, he/she is required to ‘CONFIRM’ the Application, by clicking ‘Confi rm Application’ Button/Tab on the Main Menu. Thereby a pop-up window will appear, wherein the Candidate has to enter his/her Application Number and Date of Birth and then click on ‘Confi rmApplication’ Button.(vii) Please note that, after ‘Confi rmation’, further editing of one’s ‘Online Application’ will not be permitted by the System and the same will be treated as Final Application for the particular post.(viii) Thereafter, the Candidate should ensure that he/she receives a System generated ‘SMS’ conveying his/her Confi rmation Number, on his/her ‘registered’ Mobile Number.(ix) The Candidate should preserve his/her Application Number and Confi rmation Number for future reference and use, till the conclusion of the Recruitment Process.(x) The Candidate is now required to pay the requisite Fees by clicking “Print Application / Pay Fee” Button. AIR FORCE COMMON ADMISSION ONLINE TEST (AFCAT)-02/2018/ NCC SPECIAL ENTRY/ METEOROLOGY ENTRY

INVITES INDIAN CITIZENS (MALE AND WOMEN) TO BE A PART OF THE INDIAN AIR FORCE AS COMMISSIONED OFFICERS IN FLYING AND GROUND DUTY (TECHNICAL AND NON-TECHNICAL) BRANCHES. REGISTRATION FOR ONLINE APPLICATIONS WILL OPEN ON 16 JUN 18 AND CLOSE ON 15 JUL 18 THROUGH https://careerindianairforce.cdac.in OR https://afcat.cdac.in

1. Online applications are invited for the courses commencing in Jul 2019 for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying Branch and Permanent Commission (PC) / Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches. Online applications are also invit-ed for NCC Special Entry Scheme (For grant of PC/SSC in Flying Branch) and Meteorology Branch. 2. Branches, Course Number and Vacancies.

No representation in this regard will be entertained. 3. Type of Commission. (a) PC for Male. Candidates joining as PC officers would continue to serve till the age of superannuation as per their branch and rank. (b) SSC for Male & Women.

(i) The engagement period for Flying Branch SSC officers is fourteen years from the date of Commissioning (Non extendable). (ii) The initial tenure for SSC officers in Ground Duty (Tech and Non-Tech) branches would be for a period of ten years. An extension of four years may be granted subject to service requirements, availability of vacancies, willingness, suitability and merit.

4. Age.

(a) Flying Branch. 20 to 24 years as on 01 Jul 2019 i.e. born between 02 July 1995 to 01 July 1999 (both dates inclusive). Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence is-sued by DGCA (India) is relaxable upto 26 years i.e. born between 02 July 1993 to 01 July 1999 (both dates inclusive). (b) Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical) Branches). 20 to 26 years as on 01 July 2019 i.e. born between 02 July 1993 to 01 July 1999 (both dates inclusive).

5. Notification. Detailed notification is available on website https://careerindianairforce.cdac.in or https://afcat.cdac.in . Candidates are to ensure that they have read and understood the details available in the notification before registering. 6. Physical /Medical Standards, Educational Qualifications and Selection Procedure. Details on physical/medical standards, educational qualifications and selection procedure are available in detailed notification on the website. 7. Training. Training will commence in the first week of July 2019 for all courses at Air Force Academy Dundigal (Hyderabad). The duration of training for Flying and Ground Duty (Technical) Branches is 74 weeks and that of Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches is 52 weeks at Air Force Training Estab-lishments. PAN Card and account in SBI/ Nationalised Bank is mandatory at the time of joining Air Force Academy. Aadhaar Card is mandatory for registration. IAF OFFERS YOU 8. Pay on Commissioning (As per 7th CPC).

Note. Flight Cadets shall receive a fixed stipend of Rs 56,100/- per month during the period of training. 9. Allowances. In addition to pay, allowances are applicable based on the na-ture of duty/ place of posting and it includes Flying, Technical, Field Area, Spe-cial Compensatory (Hill area), Special Force, Siachen, Island Special Duty, Test Pilot & Flight Test Engineer, Area and Remote Locality Allowance. 10. Privileges. Air Force Officers are entitled to furnished accommodation, comprehensive medical cover for self and dependents, Canteen, Officers’ Mess, loans at subsidised rates, LTC, etc. Leave (60 days annual and 20 days casual) subject to service exigencies. 11. Insurance. Rs 75 Lakhs Insurance Cover (on contribution) is applicable to serving officers. Additional cover of Rs 10 Lakhs (on contribution) is applicable to Flying Branch Officers. 12. Sports and Adventure. Indian Air Force provides state of the art facilities to play various sports and adventure activities (sky diving, microlight flying, mountaineering, water rafting etc.). IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS 13. Eligible candidates are to register online through separate tabs available for AFCAT Entry/NCC Special Entry/MET Entry. Candidates eligible for one/more entries are to register separately in each entry. 14. Conduct of Online Testing for AFCAT Examination and Fee Structure. Online testing will be conducted for AFCAT entry at various centers. Candidates registering for AFCAT entry will have to pay an amount of Rs. 250/- as exami-nation fee. However, candidates registering for Meteorology entry and NCC Special entry are not required to pay. Details of conduct, examination centers and mode of payment are available in the notification. 15. Marital Status. Candidates below 25 years of age must be unmarried at the time of commencement of the course. Widows/Widowers and divorcees (with or without encumbrances) below 25 years of age are also not eligible. 16. Candidates are required to maintain their unique registered E-Mail ID and mobile phone number active throughout the selection process. 17. Please note that information filled up by the candidates in online application form will be considered final and no amendments will be allowed subsequently. Candidates should exercise due care while entering their date of birth. 18. Travel Allowance (TA). To and fro travelling fare by the shortest route of AC-III Tier/AC Chair Car or actual normal bus fare, to the candidates appearing in Air Force Selection Board for the first time, will be reimbursed. For all other modes of travel, TA will be admissible as per the government authorized rules. No TA is admissible, if you have already appeared for the same type of entry at any of the Selection Boards. 19. Physical Conditioning. You are advised to be physically fit when you report for SSB in order to be able to undergo the tests at AFSB. You should aim to achieve an ability to run 01 mile (1.6 kms) in 10 mins, do 10 pushups and 03 chin ups. Prospective candidates are also advised to keep them-selves in good physical condition to adapt to physical training at AFA which encompasses running, swimming, rope climbing and other forms of physical training/ conditioning in which they would undergo mandatory tests during train-ing.
