MICROWAVE POWER MODULES
A complete microwave amplifier, eachMicrowave Power Module (MPM) includes a mini helix Traveling Wave Tube (TWT), an optional Solid-State Amplifier (SSA) driver and a miniature power supply. Advancements in MPMs have led to the development of the NanoMPM®, a compact 5 in. x 3 in. model well-suited for airborne or groundapplications where size and weight are prime considerations. MPMs areused in unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs), radar and ECM systems, portable and mobile SATCOM systems, and point-to-point communications.

HIGH-POWER KLYSTRONS AND LINEAR ACCELERATOR PRODUCTS
Since the development of the first 2.2-megawatt L-Band Klystron in 1952, L-3 Electron Devices has been a leader in support of the superpower radar community. Today, state-of-the-art Cluster Cavity klystrons provide the wideband multi-megawatt capability for the U.S. Air Force AWACS system.Other uses for high-power klystrons include weather radar, high-energy plasmaresearch applications, medical radiation therapy systems and linearaccelerator applications. Additionally, for linear accelerator applications,EDD offers high-energy magnetrons and electron emitters.

MINI TRAVELING WAVE TUBES
We have a complete line of mini tubes, covering multi-octave bandwidths over the 2 to 46 GHz frequency range, withoutput powers of up to 200 W. Thetubes have multi-stage collectors forhigh fficiency with a rugged, thermaldesign and offer long life throughsuperior gun optics and beammagnetics. These tubes werespecifically developed for use in ourline of MPMs and are currently used inUAVs, data links, radar and ECMsystems, portable and mobile SATCOMsystems, and point-to-pointcommunications.

HELIXTRAVELING WAVE TUBES
We are widelyrecognized as anindustry leader in the design andmanufacture of high-powerpulsed, CW helix and ring-loop TWTs for radar, ECM and missile applications. These TWTs operate in thestandard bands over the 2 to 18 GHz frequency spectrum andprovide superior performance and reliability. Helix TWTs areused in ECM systems, missile data links and seekers, as wellas for medium-range radar applications.
Primarily used in ground-based or airborne radar applications, our coupled-cavity TWTs are available at power levels up to 60 kW peak, 5 kW of average power and10% bandwidth in X- andKu-Band.
