Minor maintenance.

Kept using old JB and increased bearing clearance to

average value of specification. (0.16mm for HSS, and

0.17mm for LSS) by hand

Alignment for coupling between GB – 2MCL805 and GB –

2MCL 356.

Temperature have still

increased to 111oC (over

9/2013 Minor

maintenance

Change new modified bearing (modified by

OEM) with clearance increased to 0.17mm.

12/2017 Major maintenance Change new bearing set with clearance of HSS: 0.16mm,

LSS: 0.19mm.

Change new thrust bearing and opinion & gear set.

Revamp the ammonia plant to increase from 100% to

120% load.

Temp increasing with time.

After 3months of running,

the temp increase to 103oC.

1. Replace new set of opinion and gear.

We revamped the ammonia unit in turnaround which the

load of compressor was increased around 107-110%

compared to the previous load.

Cause: when the load increased after revamp the clearance is considered not enough which seems to make the bearing temperature increase.

Suggestion: increase the journal bearing clearance as followings:
