Trial Summary Researched By: Mid-Michigan Consulting Location: Western Michigan Growing Season: 2015 Objective: To evaluate the benefits of Nutricor® on Highbush ‘Duke’ Blueberries. Methodology The study was conducted during the 2015 season in Western Michigan on highbush ‘Duke’ Blueberries planted in September 1984. Blueberries were picked on July 6 and again on July 10, and total yield was calculated after harvest. The experimental design used was a randomized complete block with four replications. Treatment Applications The Grower Standard Practice (GSP) for blueberries in Western Michigan is split applications of a complete granular fertilizer. Specific treatments were: 1. GSP 2. Nutricor + GSP Nutricor was applied at 2 GPA as foliar spray at the following stages: pre-bud break, pre-bloom, fruit set and fruit bulking Results and Conclusions The total yield for Nutricor treated blueberries was 16,950 lbs./A. This equates to a 5% increase in yield over the GSP. This study shows that the use of Nutricor can be an excellent tool for boosting yield effectively.
