Typical Lengths Soil Conditions
4 - 6 inches Heavy clay soils
6 inches Typical loam soil conditions.
8 inches Relatively loose sandy loam to sandy soils.
12 inches or longer Excessively loose soils, slopes containing fine silt, sand, or soft mud. Deep and soft fills, loose sands, silts, loams or “quick”conditions.

Prepare the anchor trench – 6 inches by 6 inches
Secure the RECP in the Anchor Trench –staples 12 inches apart
Secure anchor trench by folding RECP over filled anchor trench
Staples staggered four inches apart can be used to secure the RECP if no upland water flow exists.
