Example B: Neither unit has line of sight. The allied unit cannot see up and over the front hill (first rank) to the second rank of the hill. The axis unit cannot see past the front hill hex to the allied unit. Example C: Neither unit has line of sight. The units cannot see over the hill. Example D: Both units have line of sight. Both units are on the same hill and have line of sight to hill hexes of the same hill. Example E: Both units have line of sight. The units are not on the same hill but there is nothing between the two hills that would block line of sight. Example F: Both units have line of sight. Both units are on the same hill and have line of sight to hill hexes of the same hill. Example G: Neither unit has line of sight. The units cannot see over the town. Note a forest, hedgerow, or bunker hex, if it replaced the town hex in the example, would also block line of sight. Example H: No line of sight between the units on the two hills. Note that a unit (friend or enemy) will block infantry and/or armor units line of fire, as well as line of sight. Example I: Neither unit has line of sight. Even though the units are on the same hill the town hex blocks line of sight. Once again, a forest, hedgerow or bunker hex, if it replaced the town hex in the example, would also block line of sight.
