Around the world there are lots of different languages and ways of communicating. One of the ways that people communicate without talking, is by using Makaton. Makaton is using signs and symbols so that people communicate with movements rather than words. See
Document 4, which includes many Makaton signs. Practise some of these and use them where possible.
Science Don’t try to do both of these science tasks on one day. You could

Geography
Queen Victoria was the first monarch to rule from Buckingham Palace. There are other interesting buildings that are related to
previous kings and queens of England e.g. The Tower of London.
Research many of the landmarks and find examples of Human and Physical geography in London. Use the information you find to
create your own advertising poster to draw people to the area for a holiday.
Art/ D&T
During this term our artist is L.S. Lowry. He was a significant artist during the time of WW2, which will be our topic after half-term. Your task is to create a fact file about L.S. Lowry and his art work. Consider the following carefully: the colours he uses, the style
of his artwork; other artists he’s similar to and if there is anything that is similar about all of his pieces
of work.
HistoryUntil February half-term we are continuing to study The Victorians. The Victorians were influential in developing new modes of transport. Watch
the video: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/z4fvr82
Then, research one of the modes of transport spoken about in the video and create a poster which explores the impact of that transport, the main inventors involved in developing it and how it has changed from then to
now.
MFL
Recapping on the last term topic ‘Notre e’cole’, write the names of some rooms of the school in French and then draw an action that
takes place in that room e.g. when writing the French word for library, you may draw a picture of someone reading or a book. Consider: the library, the canteen, the carpark, the sports field, the playground, the main hall, the classroom, the staffroom and
the office.
Computing
Log on to purple-mash and go onto 2Do’s. Complete the 2Do called ‘Computing Task –
