And on January 27, 2010 first clinker was produced at the single kiln line, located at Baga/Malokhar in the Solan/Bilaspur district, Himachal Pradesh.For KHD and its project team on site with specialists from its Ger- man and Indian subsidiaries this is an important step to- wards the first cement plant with a clinker capacity of >10,000 tpd equipped with KHD technology. Additionally KHD is providing three cement mills for grinding the clinker from the new Baga cement plant at different locations. 10,000 t/d single kiln line, consisting of: One 4-string, 6-stage preheater with two PYROCLON ® -R calciners, two PYROTOP ® Compact mixing chambers, two burners for the PYROCLON ® -R calciners and tertiary air ducts with dust settling chambers, One 3-tyre rotary kiln, 5.8m Ø and 85m long, PYRO-JET ® burner for firing coal and petcoke, including the dosing system, PYROSTEP ® clinker cooler, grate area 214 m², with clinker crusher. Three clinker grinding systems each for capacity of 225 t/h PPC with fineness of 3,500 cm²/g and each equipped with: Roller Press 20-170/180 V-Separator SKS-Separator Ball mill, ø3.4m x11.5m. The grinding systems at Panipat and Bagheri are in operation. The third plant at Baga nears com- pletion and will be in operation in 2010.
