HINGE SIZE ZERO DEAL s.r.l. – www.dealpesaro.com Page 1 HINGE SIZE ZERO This innovative hinge designed by Deal, as well as keeping all the features of the most advanced hinges on the market, such as adjustment in 3 directions plus assisted and decelerated closing, adds further significant benefits. The space that the hinge encumbers inside of the cabinet structure is equal to "zero". In fact, the anchorage of the hinge leaves completely free the inner surfaces of the structure panels. This represents a remarkable advantage both aesthetic and functional, since it allows to position shelves, drawers, pull- out frames and accessories, without worry about possible collisions. Another aspect to consider is its strength: totally made with zamak (die-cast of zinc alloys) and free by complicated systems of linkages, it is so solid that allow using only 3 hinges also for H 2500 mm doors, as reported below in the FEM analysis table. The hinge is provided with a fine adjustment system designed to using a single tool (screwdriver) in all three directions (height, side and depth). The single hinge (the equivalent of 1 standard hinge) has a total of 10 parts. The double hinge, (the equivalent of 2 standard hinges) has a total of 19 parts. Even the damper is an exclusive DEAL project. The small size of the component, as evidenced from the image on the left, allows to fit it into the cup of a hinge used on 16 mm thick door panel.

    HINGE SIZE ZERO

    This innovative hinge designed by Deal, as well as keeping all the features of the most advanced

    hinges on the market, such as adjustment in 3 directions plus assisted and decelerated closing, adds

    further significant benefits.

    The space that the hinge encumbers inside

    of the cabinet structure is equal to "zero".

    In fact, the anchorage of the hinge leaves

    Technical features

    Adjustments

    Height adjustment:

    The height adjustment is +/- 1.25 mm,

    by using the cam 2.

    Side adjustment (distance between the doors):

    The minimum distance between 2 doors is 3 mm

    and enables the simultaneous opening of both.

    The side adjustment of each door is +/- 0.75 mm,

    by using the cam 1.

    Depth adjustment (distance between doors and structure):

    The distance between the door and the frame is 3.5 mm.

    With a small groove on the vertical side of the structure, as

    shown in the figure below, you can reduce this gap to 1.5 mm.

    To make the adjustment: unfasten the set screw 4, insert the

    screwdriver in the slot 3, rotate clockwise/counterclockwise

    to increase/decrease the distance of the door, clamp the set

    screw 4 again.

    Drillings

    Door panels:

    The mounting of the "Hinge size zero" does not require special drilling since the project has been developed

    on the technical standard normally used.

    The pocket depth is equal to:

    - door thickness -2.5 mm with 16 mm thick doors

    - door thickness -3.0 mm with 18 mm to 25 mm thick doors

    Cabinet structure:

    Drill the cabinet structure as in the following drawing.

    Application versatility

    By replacing only some of the hinge components, you can use it with door panels from 16 mm to 25 mm of

    thickness and with structure panels from 16 mm to 40 mm of thickness, mixing them depending on customer

    needs without limitations.

    Inset door hinge

    DEAL has developed a project of "Hinge size zero" also for inset doors, internal to the structure, which has

    all the features and benefits of the hinge for overlay doors so far described.

    In the figure below, we show briefly some drawings of the hinge that illustrate the absence of encumbrance

    on both side and central frames of the structure.
