INFORMATION
-:History:-
1983-Hi-Rel Electronics Pvt. Ltd. is established, First in India to start manufacturing
indigenously transistorized inverters using six step analog technologies. We started
manufacturing inverters in collaboration with Ramsey US

1987- We started manufacturing UPS up to 20 KVA
1989-We started manufacturing PWM analog transistorized inverters in collaboration with
Square D Automation USA.
1991-We started manufacturing PWM analog inverters using IGBT. After globalization
from 1993 we started dealing with imported DIGITAL inverters
1993-We make ISO-9001:2000 company. We are also promoting GE Technology, USA
make 3 Ph. UPS in India. As on today we are sole distributors of Vacon Brand Finland
make inverters in India. We are manufacturing IGBT based digital UPS up to 120KVA
single phase. Parallel redundant and hot stand by both type of UPS are available from us.
Hi-Rel supplied inverters and UPS are working in almost in almost all various industries
for different applications. We have sales & service network all over India. From 1984
--1990 we did purely concept selling of inverters. After digitization and use of SMT
technology in inverters, it has become reliable and user friendly. It has become popular and
being used as replacement to ordinary motor starters
1995 Onwards-Initially we sold inverters for replacement of PIV gears, Rotary high
frequency generators, eddy current drives, fluid coupling, and multi speed motors and used
for energy conservation for centrifugal loads. We have sold UPS to both EDP computer
load and industrial PLC, DCS, Test instruments load. Hi-rel supplied inverters and UPS are
working in almost all various industries for different applications. We have supplied almost
15000 inverters and 10000 UPS by this time. Hi-rel has supplied 2nos 630 KW inverters &

1 no. 1250KW inverter for LANXESS ABS PLASTIC EXTRUDER application. They are
working since last Seven years.
Hi-rel supplied 250 no Inverters to Reliance Petroleum for fin cooler application
through Backtel UK consultant. This is the first time in petroleum industries that inverters
are used for such application. Hi-rel has supplied almost 40 no inverters from 150kw to 250
kW rating to NOVA Petrochemical plant.
In total we supplied 400 no inverters to them for all application of MMF industries
including Atlas Copco compressors. We supplied 33 no. inverters to Bombay Dyeing for
different metering pumps and fan applications through Chemtex consultant. Hi-Rel has
supplied 54 no. of inverters to Indo Rama for booster & condenser pumps, quench &
combustion fans, metering pump of zimmer applications through Kvaerner consultant.
We supplied 27 no. of inverters to IPCL, Gandhinagar. We also supplied 18 nos. of
inverters to IPCL, Baroda. We supplied inverters to Dharni Sugar, Shamnur Sugar,
Davangiri Sugar, Andhra Sugar and Shri Chhatrapati Sahu Sugar. Ratings are 100 kW to
300KW. Hi-Rel has prepared a test bench for M/s. Flowserve India Pvt. Ltd., to test
different capacity of pumps from 9 test beds distributed in three base for assessing their
performance at the final stage of manufacturing using PLC & SCADA system.
Hi-Rel is having vast experience in the field of Pipeline also. Like GAIL-Lanco,
HPCL, Loni-Ajmer & IOCL, Haldia-Barauni pipeline jobs, apart from this Hi-Rel has
executed so many other Pipeline Jobs in the country. Hi-Rel is proud to have partnered RIL
in the installation of all 12 CP lines at Hazira and Re-vamp of Drives system for CP 1, 2, 3
& 5 at Patalganga.
Hi-Rel has executed projects at Reliance Industries with various combinations of
DCS / PLC processors, AC Drives and networks for Tandem Application. During the
period 1994 to 2003 Hi-Rel has supplied 13 Tandem System to RIL

Hi-Rel has executed one of the largest value single orders of UPS system in recent
time from ABB Ltd. Total 248 UPS system having various ranges from 7.5KVA to 40KVA
for mission critical applications of SCADA project of oil & gas giant ONGC. Hi-Rel has
successfully completed its overseas projects at places like Egypt, Eskom-Sudan, Zambia,
Bhutan etc. We have worked with all leading consultants of India. We supplied no. of UPS
in ESSAR, NALCO, IOCL, ONGC, NTPC, BHEL Boiler plants and Many More..... We
executed the giant orders from Indo Rama Synthetics, Bombay Dyeing and IPCL. We have
done automation work using Rockwell PLC and Invensys Micro I/A DCS. We have branch
offices through out India to take care of customers during pre sales and after sales. With

Production manager plan, direct, and coordinate the production activities required to
produce the vast array of goods manufactured every year in the company. They make sure
that production meets output and quality goals while remaining within budget. Depending
on the size of the manufacturing plant, industrial production managers may oversee the
entire plant or just one area of it.
Industrial production managers devise methods to use the plant's personnel and capital
resources to best meet production goals. They may determine which machines will be used,
whether new machines need to be purchased, whether overtime or extra shifts are
necessary, and what the sequence of production will be. They monitor the production run to
make sure that it stays on schedule, and they correct any problems that may arise.
Part of an industrial production manager's job is to come up with ways to make the
production process more efficient. Traditional factory methods, such as mass assembly
lines, have given way to lean production techniques, which give managers more
flexibility. In a traditional assembly line, each worker was responsible for only a small

portion of the assembly, repeating that task on every product. Lean production, by contrast,
employs teams to build and assemble products in stations or cells. Thus, rather than
specializing in a specific task, workers are capable of performing all jobs within a team.
Without the constraints of the traditional assembly line, industrial production managers can
more easily change production levels and staffing on different product lines to minimize
inventory levels and more quickly react to changing customer demands.
Industrial production managers also monitor product standards and implement quality
control programs. They make sure that the finished product meets a certain level of quality,
and if it doesnt, they try to find out what the problem is and solve it. Although traditional
quality control programs reacted only to problems that reached a certain significant level,
newer management techniques and programs, such as ISO 9000, Total Quality
Management (TQM), or Six Sigma, emphasize continuous quality improvement. If the
problem relates to the quality of work performed in the plant, the manager may implement
better training programs or reorganize the manufacturing process, often on the basis of the
suggestions of employee teams. If the cause is substandard materials or parts from outside
suppliers, the industrial production manager may work with the supplier to improve their
quality.
Industrial production managers work closely with other managers of the firm toimplement the company's policies and goals. They also must work with the firms financial
departments in order to come up with a budget and spending plan. They work the closest
with the heads of the sales, procurement, and logistics departments. Sales managers relay
the client's needs and the price the client is willing to pay to the production department,
which must then fill the order. The logistics or distribution department handles the delivery
of the goods, often coordinating with the production department. The procurement
department orders the supplies that the production department needs to make its products.
The procurement department also is responsible for making sure that the inventories of
supplies are maintained at proper levels so that production precedes without interruption. A
breakdown in communications between the production manager and the procurement
department can cause slowdowns and a failure to meet production schedules. Just-in-time

production techniques have reduced inventory levels, making constant communication
among managers, suppliers, and procurement departments even more important.

-: Hitec Diesel Rotary UPS working:-
The Hitec make Diesel Rotary UPS (DRUPS) Power Module is coming with
skid-mount single shaft assembly of rotating machines - basically comprising
Diesel engine, Free-wheel clutch, Induction coupling and Generator.
Under normal operating conditions the mains power feeds the DRUPS system and
customers critical load via specially designed choke by Hitec.
The DRUPS system stabilizes the mains voltage within the acceptable tolerances
and improves the power factor of the system. The DRUPS system runs
continuously synchronized with the mains.

When the mains power supply to the DRUPS system fails or become out of
tolerances, the DRUPS system shall continue to supply full output load without
interruption. Simultaneously the incoming mains shall be disconnected from the
system. The rotary energy storage device (induction coupling) shall ensure
continuity of power during the diesel engine start-up period. After reaching full
speed, diesel engine engages to the induction coupling and generator via free wheel
clutch, and works as normal standby Diesel Generating set. The load never knows
the power transfer from mains to DG Set.

E.S.I. is an addreviation of employees state insurance. It is the scheme
organized by the state government under the company employee state insurance Act,
1998. Its main intention is to provide social security to the employees.
E.S.I. scheme is designed to accomplish the task of protecting employee
against the hazards on sickness maternity, disablement & death due to employee injury
& to provide medical care to, injured persons & to their families.
So far Hi rel is concerned, this scheme is also available. The amount of
insurance is distributed among the group of employees & also the premium is paid in
the group. There are many advantages E.S.I. scheme. It helps in case of accident,
