Terms & Conditions
1. All hire charges quoted are PER DAY/and are payable in advance, unless PRIOR arrangements are made.
2. All orders placed will be subject to a refundable deposit.
Additional charges will be incurred:
• For broken, chipped, burnt or un-returned goods
• For unwashed or dirty returned goods
• For late return of goods after expiry of contract i.e. the day after
• For containers not returned
• For call outs to our premises after our normal working hours unless the omission is our error
4. Linen must be returned DRY and UNWASHED. Linen damaged by candle wax, burns, mildew or any substance causing permanent stains, will be charged for.
All other items must be returned clean.
5. All items remain the property of Muirhead's Hiring cc.
6. All hired items MUST BE CHECKED AND COUNTED on the premises as well as while loading before they are accepted or NO CLAIM will be recognized.
7. Discrepancies must be reported within 12 hours. We reserve the right to inspect the discrepancy before use. Claims will not be entertained unless this
procedure is adhered to.
8. All items of equipment are hired at the HIRER'S risk.
9. Electrical and/or gas equipment must be checked at Muirhead's Hiring cc premises or at venue on delivery. This is to ensure and confirm that it is in working
order, any failures of the equipment thereafter shall be the client's responsibility.
10. Hire charges are for the time the goods are in your possession and not whether you used them or not.
11. Marquee's hired through Muirhead's Hiring cc are subject to the following conditions:
• NO fires may be lit in the marquees
• Any damage to the marquees will be for the customer's account.
• Muirhead's Hiring will not be liable for any claim for any damage of whatsoever nature caused to any property or person during the period of hire, once erected.
• Any theft of marquee components will be for the hirer's account.
• Walls will be installed and should remain on especially in windy weather. They may be removed in good weather at your risk. Thereafter walls must be re-installed
• All marquee quotations are subject to a site visit for suitability of ground, space and access.
• Any delays for setup or for long carry will be added to your final account, as will any decision to move the marquee once erected from the original
designated area.
12. To confirm the order, we require 50% of total quotation paid to the following account and a copy of this order signed and faxed or emailed back to confirm
with proof of deposit paid:-
ABSA BANK, Account number: 4052600771, Branch Code: 632005, Ref: Name & Date of Event, Type of account : Cheque Accounts.
13. Final changes to the order will only be accepted no later than 7 days prior to the function. All changes are subject to the consent of management.
14. Payment can be made at our premises in cash. Cash deposit fees into our bank account will be added to your final account. Bank/electronic transfer should
have cleared and reflected in our account prior to delivery/collection. Should you choose to make a direct deposit, kindly e-mail or fax proof of the transaction,
clearly indicating your name and date of function. No cheques will be accepted.
15. We do not have Debit/Credit Card Facilities. We require your banking details to return any refundable deposit due to you. No cheques will be accepted as payment.

16. The refundable security deposit is only refunded to you on the return of ALL the goods, which are checked and found to be the same condition in which they
were hired. In the event that the goods were damaged or lost, the replacement cost will be deducted from the refundable deposit and the balance refunded to
the hirer. Should the total replacement costs exceed the refundable deposit the hirer will be responsible for this amount.
17. Replacement costs are available on request and such costs must be settled on return of the goods.
18. If items are cancelled after confirming then the following rules shall apply for the refunding of deposit paid,
> 2 months of booking date require 50% of deposit required. (ie: 25% of hire)
> 1 months of booking date require 100% of deposit required (ie: 50% of hire)
> 1 week or less 100% of hire will be held.
> All refunds will be at the Members discretion.
19. Final payment must be made prior to delivery/collection. No delivery will be made until full payment is received and cleared.
20. In the event of any outstanding amount being handed over for collection or should any legal proceedings have to be taken arising from our contract, then
you shall be liable for the costs thereof, on an attorney and own client basis. Furthermore, for such purposes you appoint as your contact home address, the
address as provided on your order.
21. These prices are subject to change. These generally increase on 1st April annually. All Quotes will be adjusted to prices valid at time of order, not in time of quote.
22. These terms are subject to change without notice.
23. TOLL FEES will be charged in addition to normal delivery charges if applicable.
24. Sites that are difficult to access and may require goods or marquees to be delivered more than 15 metres or upstairs, from the parked vehicles, will attract
additional charges.
25. The Dance Floor may only be assembled, moved or broken down by a representative of Muirheads Hiring or Hamblins Catering.
26. All shortages/damages must be cleared within 48 Hours; thereafter we will debit the invoice and claim the monies out of the Refundable Deposit.
27. Please check your quote carefully that we have included all you needed. Muirheads Hiring cannot be held responsible once you have approved a quotation.
