On Monday evening, all the commiees working on the Bicentennial met. Of course, we are hoping that everyone has circled Sunday, November 4th on their calendar. That is the date for a Mass with Bishop Cunningham followed by the Gala at Harts Hill Inn. The Mass will be at one o’clock fol- lowed by the dinner at 3:00PM. Before that date, there are several other events planned as well. On Monday, July 9th, there will be tours of the Church at 6 PM. This is in conjunc- on with the Landmark Society of Uca. There are many interesng facets of the church that you might not know about. Kevin Schultz is an expert in this field and will be on hand to tell you about these facts. I believe that one of the church windows was a gi of the Bishop of Albany. Remember our church is older than the Diocese of Syracuse. Also on that evening, we will have many arfacts of the Church on display. One item is a chalice that was given to the church by one of the Popes (Leo XIII) and is over 100 years old. Also in August, on the 19th, we will again sponsor the 2nd Annual Our Lady of Fama Pilgrimage March from Our Lady of Mt. Carmel to St. John’s. We will pray the Rosary as we march through the streets like last year. When we get to St. John’s, there will be a short prayer service followed by Benedic- on of the Blessed Sacrament. Of course, our Annual Charity Bazaar is on September 8th and 9th. At the present me, there is not anything planned specifically for October. How- ever, I am thinking we should do something in regards to a Eucharisc Devo- on Day such as 40 hours. In the meanme, you may purchase items that serve as souvenirs for this 200 year celebraon aer Mass each week. (Did you know that at the turn of the 19th century and shortly before that, that the Church sponsored trips to places like Old Forge and Auriesville! No cars or buses at that me? What a feat!) ! ! Last week, I men oned that some people had

made inquiries about dona ng to the Church to cover the

cost of tangible items. (Not part of the Bicentennial.) One

thing that I would like to replace are our Altar Server robes.

At present, they have been purchased in the past at differ-

ent mes and from different companies and they don’t

really match. Some are beyond repair. If you might be

interested in dona ng one, they cost approximately $50.

Just put your dona on in an envelope marked “Altar Server

Robes”.!!! ! We are s ll short of our HOPE APPEAL goal. If you

have not yet made your gi5 to this annual appeal, we

would be most grateful if you did.!!! ! We awarded our Senior Scholarships to Mikayla

Ward, George Picente, Jr. and Nicholas Lemire. Congratula-

ons to them and all the graduates as they move on to oth-

er academic realms.!!! ! Have a great week.!!! ! ! ! ! God Bless You,!! ! ! ! ! Father Buehler!
