DESIGNA Troy Lee Designs custom painted helmet can be anything you can imagine. You can send us your own idea, photo, drawing, cartoon, and/or a photo of the image you want us to duplicate. You can mix and match designs of your favorite racers. Or tell us to come up with something totally original.
PREPARATIONFor the very best results, we recommend that you begin with a new solid white helmet. We do not recommend you remove any molding or do any sanding yourself. Helmet shells are also welcome.

GETTING STARTEDTo order, call us with your helmet model, what your interest is, the budget you have in mind, and when you would like it completed. You can also submit your information online and download a design template to send in with your helmet. Next include your ideas (be as specific as possible), photos, drawings, colors, names, and any other pertinent information that will need to be considered in the quote process. If you need an exact color match be sure to mail a color chip with your helmet. Note that turn around time varies with your helmet and we will make every effort to meet your desired completion date.
PAYMENTA 50% deposit is required before we can start creating your masterpiece. We accept Visa, Master Card, Check, or Money Order. We also offer a rush program.
The same helmet worn by many of racing’s top pit crews is now available exclusively from Troy Lee Designs. Available in solid white only, this helmet just begs to be coated with a custom paint job. We started with a D2 composite shell and modified it slightly to accommodate the needs of pit crews.

DUAL DENSITY EPS LINERThis state of the art advancement greatly improved the ability to fine tune the energy absorbing aspects and performance of the helmet. The SE3 helmets with Dual Density liners have proven to perform so well that they exceed the latest motorcycle helmet certification standards including the most extreme Snell M2010 standard.
DUAL DENSITY SHOCK PAD SYSTEMThe use of strategically positioned Multi Impact Shock Pads on the inside surface of the EPS liner provides a primary impact material of lower density than the deeply channeled EPS liner. This advanced shock pad layer absorbs many small impacts and a noticeable improvement in comfort, durability, and lighter hits that might otherwise cause damage to the delicate single impact EPS liner.
