Christopher Columbus found Nicaragua in 1502.Most of the Pre-Clombian groups were related to the groups located in Mexcio.The majority of the people that lived in Nicaragua were farmers and hunters.the majority of the people were indigenous,to be exact almost 1 million peple who lived in nicaragua were indegenous. In 1523 the first spainsh explorer Fransico Fernandez de coraboda.as a reslut of his conquest many people died due to sickness that was carried on by the Europeans.as a reslut only 11,137 survived out of 1 million thta had once lived there.

Nicaragua is located in central America. Nicaragua is bordered by the Caribbean sea and the north pacific ocean. the countries that

border it are Costa Rica and Honduras.

Although Spanish is the dominant language in Nicaragua the Nicaraguans also spoke Miskito.

Gallo Pinto  2 1/2 pounds of roast beef12 ounces of tortilla dough6 ounces of dried cheese2 eggs3 green peppers1 onion1 garlic1 teaspoon of pepper grain1/2 teaspoon of ground pepper 1 tablespoon of paprika1/2 cup of pork lard -- as oil1 tablespoon of margarine1 stick of alspice1 sour orange Squash up the beans so that they are tender. Fry the rice in vegetable oil and add in the boiled beans. Keep on frying the two in a pan until it's all tender. Meanwhile, add in fine slices of the vegetables. Depending on your taste, you may want to add more seasoning vegetables and vary the amount of each one. 

It's usually served with tortillas on the side and maybe some local cheese.

• Fresco de Piña y Arroz • Pineapple and Rice Drink

Use leftover pineapple peel/rind and place them in a pot. Add enough water to cover the rinds by about one half inch. Bring to a boil for about 10 minutes and then add about ½ cup of uncooked white rice. Keep boiling until the rice splits or puffs. Let cool. Strain. Add about twice as much water as you got from the pot. Add sugar to taste. Drink very cold.
