The economist
Hjalmar Schacht
(22 January 1877 – 3 June 1970) was
a German economist, banker, liberal
politician, and co-founder in 1918 of the
German Democratic Party. He served
as the Currency Commissioner and
President of the Reichsbank under the
Weimar Republic. He was a fierce critic
of his country's post-World War I
reparation obligations.
Aim: full production and full employed through a
state-funded work creation programme

superhighways and people’s car,
THE VOLKSWAGEN
Volkswagen was originally
founded in 1937 by the German
Labour Front (Deutsche
Arbeitsfront). In the early 1930s,
the German auto industry was
still largely composed of luxury
models, and the average
German could rarely afford
anything more than a
motorcycle. As a result, only
one German out of 50 owned a
car. Seeking a potential new
market, some car makers began
independent "peoples' car"
projects – Mercedes' 170H,
Adler's AutoBahn, Steyr 55,
Hanomag 1,3L, among others.

He then went on to wrest German speaking
Sudetenland from Czechoslovakia, and
globed up the entire country.
In all this he had unspoken support of England, which considered the
Versailles verdict too harsh.

and Germany…
Schacht had advised Hitler against investing
hugely in rearmament as the state still ran on
deficit financing.
CAUTIOUS PEOPLE, however,
had no place in Nazi Germany and
hence Schacht had to leave
HITLER’S way of bringing out the
country from economic crisis
And it was through WAR
