Global IP-Transit Services

Mobily’s IP-Transit services provide your company with a straightforward and highly

resilient connections to manage and control your expanding internet requirements.

We offer different options for connections, depending on where you want your IP Transit

to be. Mobily has two (2) full redundant and geographically diverse Internet Gateways

(IGWs). These two IGWs are connected to a multiple Global Tier-1 providers, spreading

from east to west, via different cables and paths.This service is quality controlled with

24x7 customer support. Internet transit is the service of allowing network traffic to cross

or "transit" a computer network, usually used to connect a smaller  (ISP) to the larger

internet. 

IPLC (International Private Leased Circuit) Services

An IPLC (international private leased circuit) is a point-to-point private line used by an organization to communicate between offices that are geographically dispersed throughout the world. An IPLC can be used for Internet access, business data exchange, video conferencing, and any other form of telecommunication

Mobily provides point-to-point, high-speed IPLC lines between two sites through

SDH/DWDM , PDH platforms over fiber or Microwave media.

We offer circuits from KSA to various destinations worldwide, insuring secure data

transmission and enabling real time communication, with high availability and low latency.

IPLC service is locally provided over mobily Transmission Network through its National Fiber

Network and Metro Fiber Rings and Internationally over International carriers’/partners’

global network that fully encircle the globe which has been built from a number of

component systems. These systems have been interconnected to provide a fully seamless

international coverage, through many networks of the world’s largest and best known

telecom carriers.

IPLC-Transit Services

Mobily's IPLC-Transit connects carriers / service providers in any KSA neighboring country to

another KSA neighboring country’s carrier / service provider. This transit service is available

to customers from the Point of Interconnection (POI) located at the border of each

neighboring country.

Capacity shall be carried over mobily’s extensive Fiber SDH/DWDM networks that support

several interfaces and bandwidths from each cross-connection point at each country’s

borders to another.

Mobily's IPLC-Transit provides:

MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) Services

Mobily has established multiple MPLS partnerships to meet the growing business needs and

to deliver a wide variety of advanced, value-added services over a single infrastructure.

Hosting the partners’ PoPs (Point of Presence) within mobily KSA’s Data Centers, MPLS gives

our partners a great deal of flexibility to divert and route traffic around link failures,

congestion, and bottlenecks. It also delivers highly scalable, differentiated, end-to-end IP

services with simple configuration, management, and provisioning for providers and

subscribers.

Regional Cable Network – RCN

RCN is a regional high-capacity redundant DWDM terrestrial cable network project that runs

from the UAE until Europe, passing through Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria, and Turkey, with an

option of a submarine segment from Tartous in Syrian to Europe.

In January 2010, a memorandum of understanding was signed to establish a high-capacity

terrestrial fiber network from UAE to Europe utilizing the existing infrastructure and DWDM

technology. With a cost of around USD 500 million and a capacity of 12.8 terabit per second,

RCN is the Middle East's longest terrestrial fiber internet infrastructure. The parties involved

in the RCN are Etisalat from the UAE, mobily from Saud Arabia, Jordan Telecom (Mada and

Zain) from Jordan, Syrian Telecom from Syria, and SOL from Turkey.

Mobily’s Metro Fiber Networks

Metro Fiber is an unrivaled  alternative to traditional Internet connections, offering the fastest Internet

access as well as data and multimedia transfers – all at astonishing speeds of 10 Mbps to 10,000 Mbps

(i.e. 10 Gig). Some businesses that have switched to our Metro Fiber have let us know it has helped

improve their productivity – they didn’t realize how much their previous internet connection was

slowing them down. Mobily offers Metro Fiber Networks to business and residential districts in

more than 30 major cities.

With a system of more than 5,000 km of fiber cables, these districts in cities, like Riyadh,

Jeddah, Dammam, Madihan, and Makkah, have state-of-the-art connectivity.

Mobily is also planning to equip all 3G and 4G sites with fiber networks. Moreover, fiber

VSAT Data Services

Mobily’s VSAT Data service provides an alternative access media that is ideal for customers

in remote areas where fiber or microwave media is not available, or for those who have a

short-term connectivity needs.

 very small aperture terminal (VSAT), is a two-way satellite ground station or a stabilized maritime Vsat antenna with a dish antenna that is smaller than 3 meters. The majority of VSAT antennas range from 75 cm to 1.2 m. Data rates typically range from 56 kbit/s up to 4 Mbit/s. VSATs access satellite(s) in geosynchronous orbit to relay data from small remote earth stations (terminals) to other terminals (in mesh topology) or master earth station "hubs" (in star topology).

VSAT service connects customers in any remote region across Saudi Arabia, as it can be

deployed anywhere, making it ideal for business continuity and connectivity as it provides

multiple solutions to their communication needs.

With a capacity up of to 5Meg, VSAT service is available for both TDMA and SCPC. Potential

customers have the flexibility to choose wide range of service offerings.

Both symmetric and asymmetric bandwidth options are also available.

Mobily is providing national roaming services to customers of other operator(s) who have

limited network presence and coverage. The national roaming portfolio encompasses voice,

data or SMS, MMS and internet services.

LMC (Last-Mile Connectivity) Services

Mobily provides its scalable and high performance Last-Mile Connectivity (LMC) solutions to

Data Service Providers (DSPs) so that they and their end customers can use mobily’s

extensive access network for connectivity purpose, empowering them with a sustainable

and unmatchable advantage.

Each LMC link connects one of the DSP to one customer location by utilizing the same

physical circuit between its mobily MPLS and ISP DSP for transferring data from customers to

DSP cloud and establishing a new L2VPN circuit between each customer location and mobily

MPLS cloud.

National Capacity

Mobily has a complete infrastructure to provide national capacity to DSPs (Data Service

Providers). This service spans offering dark fiber to managed capacity from E1 to TB.

IP Transit Services

IP Transit is a service that provides ISPs, NSPs and other high bandwidth customers with

dedicated Internet connections via a high-speed backbone network.

Mobily has established connections to the major GCC Network Access Points (NAPs) and

Multicast Internet Exchanges (MIXs), as well as Internet Exchanges (IXs) in USA, Europe and

Asia, in order to provide direct local connectivity to leading ISPs worldwide.

Mobily’s IP Transit is available at a range of bandwidth speeds from 20Mbps to 10Gbps, and

it can be accessed through Ethernet. However, the access through either microwave or PMP

facilities may also be available whenever needed.

Mobily’s Network Management Centre (MNMC) provides round-the-clock monitoring, fault

reporting and maintenance of the network. In addition, mobily’s customer support is

available 24 x 7 to help resolve any equipment or software configuration issues.
