Technical & Managerial capabilities of the organization(HKCAL & WS) 1. Introduction: Hyderabad Karnataka Centre for Advanced Learning and Welfare Society is a non-governmental and non-profit making organisation registered under the Karnataka State Societies Registration Act, 1960. HKCAL is working in 4 states presently .The organisation has been working with economically marginalized and disadvantaged sections of the society, aimed at improving the Economic conditions, health, education, environment and socio-economic conditions of the downtrodden families. Hyderabad Karnataka Centre for Advanced Learning and Welfare Society has initiated and successfully implemented various projects in Bangalore, Mysore , Gulbarga, Bidar, Raichur, Koppal, Bellary, Bijapur, Bagalkote, Haveri, Gadag, Dharwad, Belgaum, Chikkamagalore, Davanagere, Shimoga and Uttara Kannada districts of Karnataka State. Works of the Organisation: Promoting alternative health care and prevention measures with community participation.

Evaluation & Monitoring of Field level activities and documenting the good practices. Improve natural resources and environment through sustainable agriculture & horticulture development with people’s participation.
Improve the livelihoods of the marginal, small and landless through implementing innovative IG activities in rural areas and urban slums.
2. Salient Features of Organization’s Development Approach: Enable poor to own their resource based institutionalized action towards their self-reliance through capacity building & linkages. Create ecological balance by judicious use of natural resources through social consultation and need based facilitation. Promote strategies for realization of full potentials of the vulnerable through participatory approach. Promotion of self help groups and their capacity building for self sustenance.
