23 April 2013 Do Now: 1. Take out UM 5.4: Anticipation Guide. Turn to a partner, and compare your responses to the statements on the guide. What do you agree on? Where do you disagree? Happy World Book Day! In the last class you learned about allegorical writing and began to discuss the larger themes present in Lord of the Flies. Today we will review your next grammar unit, discuss the historical context of Lord of the Flies, and begin reading the novel in class.
