Glass Equipment (India) Limited (GEIL) is
an associate of HNG that was incorporated
in 1974. Known for its state of the art
manufacturing facilities and engineering
products, the company offers a truly
diversified spectrum of IS forming
machines. GEIL has an outstanding
domestic and export performance to its
credit with its products including feeders,
motor driven presses, screen printing
machines, gob accelerators, ware
transfers, annealing, decorating lehrs and
so on.

HNG Float Glass Limited
HNG Float Glass Ltd. is an associate of
Hindusthan National Glass & Industries
Limited that was incorporated in 2006 with
a capital outlay of 6000 million INR. The
plant started its commercial production in
January 2010 and within six months of
inauguration it garnered about 18.2%
market share in the clear float glass
segment. The Company is set to enter the
automotive glass segment with an
additional investment of Rs. 30 Crore.
HNG Float Glass Ltd. is the only company in
India to produce clear float glass with low
iron content through a combination of
quartz and silica sand in its raw material.
The Company is committed to providing
high quality float glass that ensures
optimum clarity and strength. Some of the
major products manufactured by the
Company are Clear Glass (2 mm - 19 mm
thickness), Tinted Glass (Grey, Bronze,
Green and Blue), Heat Reflective Glass
(Soft Coat & Hard Coat), Low E Glass, Low
Iron Solar Glass, Ultra Clear Glass,
Automotive quality glass and Copper Free
Mirror.
HNG Float Glass Ltd. possesses credible
certifications like European standards and
ASPM (US Standards) reinforced by quality
testing equipment (glass testing XRS
m a c h i n e , m i c r o s c o p e f o r d e f e c t
examination, online and offline stress
management machine, as well as striagram
for a detailed examination of optical
clarity).
The Company possesses superior project
management capabilities, reflected in the
commissioning of its Halol unit in a mere 21
months against the industry benchmark of
36 months. It has entered into a
technological JV with Toledo Engineering
Co. Inc. (TECO) for basic engineering and
design services, procurement management,
project services, engineering management
and onsite job assistance during the
installation, commissioning and startup of
the Float Plant. It has also collaborated with
CTIEC for detailed design and commissioning
of the complete float line on a turnkey basis.

Ltd. (HNG) is the largest producer of
container glass in India providing glass
packaging solutions to more than 23
countries across the world. The
Company produces over 15 million
containers per day with downstream
applications in liquor, beer and
beverages, pharmaceuticals, processed
food and cosmetic industries.
Ranked 299th among the top 1000
companies by the Business Standard
magazine (January 2010), HNG has a pan
India presence with its manufacturing
units spread across Rishra, Bahadurgarh,
Nashik, Neemrana, Puducherry and
Rishikesh. The Company has an
operational strength of 11 furnaces and
44 production lines, and produces flint,
green and amber bottles in 5 ml – 3200
ml capacity.
Occupying 65% of the market share in
India and i ts annual turnover
amounting to Rs. 1500 Cr (FY 2009-
2010), HNG is on a high growth path. To
further leverage its position in the glass
packaging industry, it is investing
profoundly in establishing new projects
across India.
Naidupeta Glass Hub is one of the
upcoming projects by the Company for
which it has earmarked an investment
of Rs. 500 Crore. Spread over 240 acres
of greenfield land in the Industrial Park
of Naidupeta, the glass hub is expected
to be the largest glass complex in South
East Asia housing three container glass
and two float glass plants.
