The Welcome-Helping Hands Committee is available to welcome new residents to the community and share information on local events and activities. At the request of the family, we will notify the community through the Helping Hands email in the event of a death and or details of funeral services. We are willing to assist a family to organize a meal or gathering at the clubhouse, should they want that. We do not do catering. We will also send out requests for help with short term needs of community members such as a few meals, picking up prescriptions or providing a ride for medical needs. We do not provide housekeeping services. We maintain a list of Durable Medical Equipment that is available for loan to residents. Contact any committee member for further information. We maintain a binder listing Service Providers that residents have used for painting, yard work and repairs to homes. The binder is located in the foyer of the clubhouse next to the suggestion box. If you have a business card or other information for a provider that you would like to recommend, place it in one of the clear sleeves in the appropriate section of the binder. Please date it and add your name if someone would like to contact you about the recommendation. This is a service to the community. Please contact Linda #222 if you have any questions or comments.

Computer Security Seminar
Join us at Coffee and Donuts on Saturday, March 5, for an informational talk on computer security. Jon McKinley (son of John and Janet Leigh) will be our speaker.
Jon has been in the IT profession since before graduating NMSU in 1997. He has witnessed, read about and
studied multiple security and hacking episodes in the past 10 years. Working with the government and financial industries Jon has specialized in Online (Web) Applications and has become certified in online
system security.
TOPICS OF DISCUSSION:
1. Your Computer/Device and how to keep it secure 2. What to look for to make sure you in a safe online environment 3. Malware/Spyware/Intrusion … Which is what and why is it important? 4. If you have a suggestion for a speaker or a topic for the community please contact Gloria at #335. The contact information for the specific person should be given to her. Gloria will then work directly with the potential speaker to arrange a date. Please do not arrange for speakers on your own without talking with Gloria since she sometimes has speakers lined up in advance. As Education and Information Coordinator she will also work with the speaker to get information needed to create the flyer and/or write up for the newsletter as
well as go over their needs for their presentation.
