HOLIDAY HAPPENINGS @ SJS!!! CHRISTMAS CONCERT Our annual SJS Christmas program was a huge success!! The students (AND staff!) looked and performed their best and a great time was had by all! Thank you to Ms. Lowry, Mrs. Tinnes and Mr. McBride for doing such a wonderful job preparing our students for the program! We had a surprise or two…when the 5 graders and many staff members put together a band to play a couple of Christmas carols AND when the Baby Jesus’ (Emmalyn Vittetoe) little brother (Wyatt) wanted to get in the act himself by joining us on stage temporarily! You simply cannot plan for nor write in those most precious moments that are engraved on our memories forever! Among my thank-yous for a successful concert is one to Emmalyn’s parents, Kelsey and Michael, for allowing her to play this most important role in our annual nativity play! Other special and important moments… ü 3 of the students’ songs being sung in Spanish! ü several of the students’ songs being accompanied by guitars (Thank you, Mr. Lopez & Mrs. Tinnes!) ü 3 rd graders being accompanied by one of their own, Emma Horak! ü The prelude musicians: Grant Berdo Cecelia Mitchell Sarah Berdo Elyse Nichols Kate Flannery Jayla Stakland Emma Horak Melissa Stakland Lauren Horak Bobby Stakland We do owe an apology to the 3 year-old preschoolers as their names were unintentionally omitted from the program. These little stars are: Luke Adam Addison Janecek Yaretzi Murguia Hinckley Tryon Aden Glaspie Harper Keeler Niko Perez Everlee Vittetoe Christine Goebel Noah Klein Zoey Rost Taylor Vrchoticky Ty Hamilton Misty Mei Alma Stanton Ymbrace Yudelmo GREAT JOB, EVERYONE!!! SJS STUDENTS, STAFF & FAMILIES HAVE GIVEN A SWIFT KICK TO CANCER!!! Our “Give Cancer the Boot Campaign” was a great success!!! THANK YOU, everyone, who contributed to help make the lives of Brody Kleitsch and his family a bit brighter this Christmas season!!! The following is the break down and total of the funds raised for this very special family: School Lobby: $146.55 2 nd Place 3 y.o. PreK: $17.21 4 y.o. Mrs. Eichelberger’s 2nd grade class pose with their donations for the Ronald McDonald House they delivered last Thursday.

Have you seen the beautiful tree in our school lobby? This year’s sweet treat themed tree was designed and decorated by Becky Adam, who always knows how to put that very special touch on our building décor! The students (and staff) are tempted by the candy canes not to mention in awe of such beauty! Thank you, Mrs. Adam!!
