Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells,

Yep, it’s already time to start thinking about that time of the season. Luxe Riot wanted this issue of periodical to present some ideas to you as well as remind everyone of all the incredible opportunities to increase sales and profits during the holiday season. Make sure you are sipping that eggnog knowing you have maximized your potential.

The holidays are definitely one of my favorite times of the year. You get to see all the new products everyone has. I must confess it’s probably still some of being a kid and seeing all the new toys at the store. I enjoy time out shopping and looking for gifts during the holidays. I also enjoy parties and gatherings where friends and family surround you. Looking back on what an amazing year it’s been and preparing at the same time for the new one can be challenging. Take advantage of some great ideas for your company or brand in this issue of the periodical.

This year Luxe Riot is also going to be having an open house/ holiday sale again. It’s been a while but we feel it’s the right time to say hello to everyone and get you a chance to get some deals on blank live printed goods as well as discounted products from many of the brands we work with. There is going to be some great prints available. If you want to mark your calendar it will be December 8th. We will get you some more information on it in our next issue as well.

Next issue will be more holiday ideas as well. Though for those planning out retail sales remember those turn around times. Products in the next periodical may not have enough turn around time to get produced for Black Friday, which is November 29th so please keep that in mind.

Were already working around the clock at the shop to make magic this season. Please let us know if you have any questions or have some crazy idea for a product you want to get for the holidays. We have great resources out there and can create or print almost anything you can think of.

Good luck on your holiday prep work,

Thanks Eric Green

Are you planning ahead for your holiday sales?

There are no eggnog lattes, Christmas music, holiday lights or even a sign in the department store. Not for long, every year I can’t help but notice that I start seeing holiday merchandise earlier and earlier. It’s October, so it’s time to get started.

Most retailers do between 25-40 percent of their business for the entire year between Thanksgiving and January 1st. Don’t you think that you should do everything you can to maximize your sales during this period? In 2012 retail sales rose and online sales were better than ever. There are people buying online products around the clock on all of the following retail holidays. Luxe Riot suggests you start planning now on driving that holiday business in.

Sometimes it can be challenging to diversify sales when preparing for those dates. The 50 percent off sales can’t work week after week. These also can be your busiest times, so you don’t want to lose all of your margins on these sales. Bring your customers in the door with incentives! Reward the customers buying! Offer limited exclusive products during these times to build some excitement. Work with a vendor on a product beneficial for both of you. Some examples might be offering free t-shirts, hats or other products with the purchase of a $50.00 gift card. With this option you get money up front, keep better margins and have a repeat visit. You can do this online or in your storefront.

When Thanksgiving comes around there are plenty of sales for the holiday, you can buy online while the turkey is still cooking and before the first retail stores open at midnight. Here is a list of Holiday sale dates that your business can take advantage of:

Black Friday Thanksgiving WeekendCyber Monday Small Business SaturdayBoxing DayChristmas EveDay After ChristmasNew Years EveNew Years Day

Create your own trademark holiday. Possibly a Luxe Riot Official Printed T-shirt Celebration Day? There is too much business to be had.

Now how do you create that buzz? The same way you do the rest of the year, right? Facebook, Website, Twitter, Instagram, Email lists--and not trying to sound too old fashioned, but the Postal Service. These can be fun sales that really bring some excitement and most importantly profit to your businesses. Use these outlets to not only focus on sales but also to promote the new products you are selling this season. Now it’s time get your business thinking of ways to increase your profits this upcoming holiday season.
