Holiday Rentals Costa Dorada: “Calçotada” time! There are a lot of traditions in Catalonia, and if you are thinking to get your holiday rentals Costa Dorada you definitely have to know them. The calçot out of each of the shackles of white onions, specially grown to be cooked flame. Calçot cultivation begins when the white onion seed is sown.Then it is stored out off the ground some time and after that it is replanted again so that only half of it remains buried. As the plant grows you have to put some ground surrounding it. This is what farmers call "calçar", like the calçot name. Calçots are preferably harvested between November and April.
